Due to recent policy changes, more than 5 million people have lost their SNAP program benefits within the last year. By partnering with Feeding America our goal is to both fight food insecurity, AND reduce food waste at the same time.

Since our launch, you’ve helped us secure and provide over 700,000 meals to families in need across the U.S., and our goal is to provide another 100,000 meals before the year is over. It’s an ambitious goal, but thanks to your continued support, one that we feel is attainable.

From fairytale villages tucked deep in the mountains, to picturesque towns nestled along dramatic coastlines, here are 7 destinations that definitely deserve a spot on your European travel bucket list 👉

Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
Tucked between towering cliffs and surrounded by 72 waterfalls, Lauterbrunnen looks like something straight out of a fairytale. Wander through the charming village, visit the famous Staubbach Falls, or take a cable car up to the mountain villages of Mürren and Wengen for some of the most incredible views in the Swiss Alps.

Bergen, Norway
With colorful wooden houses, misty mountains, and a harbor straight out of a postcard, Bergen is one of Norway’s most charming cities. Explore the historic Bryggen wharf, ride the Fløibanen funicular for panoramic views, and use the city as a starting point for exploring Norway’s spectacular fjords.

Étretat, France
Skip the crowds of Paris for a while and head to this coastal gem in Normandy, famous for its enormous white chalk cliffs and natural rock arches rising above the English Channel. Hike the clifftop trails for breathtaking views, explore the pebble beach, and stay for sunset when the coastline becomes especially magical.

Istanbul, Turkey
Few cities blend continents, cultures, and centuries of history quite like Istanbul. Marvel at the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, wander through the Grand Bazaar, and take a ferry across the Bosphorus between Europe and Asia. And don’t leave without trying Turkish breakfast, freshly baked simit, and a glass of traditional Turkish tea.

Dinant, Belgium
This little Belgian town looks almost unreal, with colorful riverside buildings squeezed between the Meuse River and towering cliffs. Visit the striking Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame, take the cable car up to the hilltop citadel, and try a couque de Dinant, the town’s famously hard traditional biscuit. It’s a perfect stop for a slower, more unexpected side of Belgium.

Berchtesgaden, Germany
If you love alpine scenery, this corner of Bavaria is hard to beat. Visit the impossibly turquoise Königssee, take a boat ride to St. Bartholomä Church, or explore the mountain trails of Berchtesgaden National Park. Com

Kelly and I had pretty high expectations before visiting Isle of Skye, and somehow we were still blown away! (Make sure to save these tips for your own trip)

🏠 Where we stayed: We stayed at a few different bed and breakfasts so that we would have easy access to the sights we wanted to see, but by far our favorite was Woodbine Guesthouse in Uig. The owners Cass and Stephen were just so kind and welcoming, and it really made our stay special!

😍 Our favorite sights: There really is so much to see in a relatively small area, which meant spending a week here was barely enough time to scratch the surface. A few of our favorite moments/sights included:

The Old Man of Storr
Hiking to Camasunary Beach
Talisker Distillery Tour
Rubha Hunish
The Fairy Glen
Hiking the Quiraing

📅 When to go: The shoulder seasons are often considered the best time to go (so April/May and September/October) with thinner crowds and mild weather. We went in October, and as lovers of moody fall vibes, we’d probably go in fall next time as well!

For our next time visiting Isle of Skye we’d probably add a boat trip to see the coastline from the water (and for a chance to see some more of the wild life), and visit the nearby Isle of Harris! Have you been to Isle of Skye? Or if not, is it on your list?

Over the years, Kelly and I have found that autumn can actually be one of the best times to travel (and not just because everything looks a little more magical painted in fall colors). Here are 5 reasons why fall is a perfect time to travel 🍁👉

1. The weather can be really good
Summer gets all the attention when it comes to travel, but plenty of places are at their best once temperatures start to drop and the weather gets pleasantly mild.

2. There are fewer people
Once the summer crowds start to disappear, everything can feel a little more relaxed. Trails are quieter, restaurants are easier to get into, and you can actually stop to take in the view without feeling like you’re in a line of people at an amusement park.

3. You have more freedom to explore
One of the best parts about traveling outside of peak season is simply having more flexibility. In the summer, popular tours, restaurants, accommodations, and attractions can book up weeks (or months) in advance. In the fall, you’re much more likely to have room to change your plans as you go.

4. It can be much more affordable
Traveling in the peak summer season can get expensive quickly. Flights, hotels, rental cars, and activities can all come with a premium when everyone else is trying to travel at the same time. Fall on the other hand often brings lower prices and better availability, especially once you get past the busiest weeks of the season.

5. There really isn’t a bad time to travel!
Kelly and I have traveled during every month of the year, and we’ve realized that every season has its own unique charm. Summer has long days and warm evenings. Winter has snowy landscapes and cozy nights. Spring brings wildflowers and fresh green landscapes. And fall? Crisp air, changing colors, quieter streets, and fewer crowds.

5 must-see stops on your Ireland road trip (save this for your own trip!) 👇

📍 Gap of Dunloe
Drive or walk (or take a horse and carriage ride) through the dramatic mountain pass, and give yourself time to stop along the way. The road is narrow and winding, but the scenery makes it worth taking your time!

📍 Killarney
Use the town of Killarney as a base for exploring Killarney National Park. There’s so much to see around the national park that you could easily spend a couple of days here.

📍 Kerry Cliffs
This coastal viewpoint is famous for a reason. The views are absolutely incredible, and there’s lots of hiking and beautiful nature in the area.

📍 Slieve League Cliffs
This was our own personal favorite viewpoint. These are some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, and they felt much wilder and quieter than we expected. We got there in the afternoon and saw maybe a handful of people during the time we spent there!

📍 Di**le Peninsula
The scenic drive along the coastline of the Di**le Peninsula offers breathtaking views, and the town of Di**le is as charming as they come, with cozy cafés, shops, and pubs that make you want to stay a while.

🚗 Our tip: Don’t try to cram too much into an Ireland road trip. Some of our favorite memories came from the unplanned stops at cozy pubs, driving down tiny roads, and pulling over simply because the view was too good.
