Our Summit Sling Bag is now available at Hill House at Trailborn Mendocino, and we couldn’t be more exited!

If you haven’t been to Mendocino yet, add it to your list. It’s got dramatic cliffs along the Pacific, quiet beaches, towering redwoods, winding coastal roads, and a little town that makes you want to slow down and stay a while.

One of the most memorable walks on the Isle of Skye is the trail from Elgol to Camasunary Bay ⛰️🌊 The route winds through rugged Highland scenery with views of the Cuillin mountains, eventually opening onto the remote shores of Camasunary, where the Camasunary Bothy sits beneath the dramatic peaks.

What exactly is a bothy? 👀

A bothy is a simple, usually unlocked shelter in the Scottish countryside, traditionally converted from old cottages or farm buildings. They’re free for walkers to use, with no reservations - you simply arrive, share the space with whoever else is there, and leave it clean for the next person. The Camasunary Bothy has a sleeping platform and a composting toilet, and can accommodate around 15 people.

It’s a uniquely Scottish kind of adventure: hike into the wilderness, spend the night in a tiny shelter by the sea, and wake up surrounded by some of Skye’s most spectacular scenery.

📍 A dreamy day at the Algarve Coast with Kiara | Germany & Travel

Did you know that western Algarve and eastern Algarve can feel like different climates? The Algarve Coast spans from west to east along the south end of Portugal. The western area around Sagres is much more exposed to Atlantic winds and can feel dramatically cooler and wilder, while the area around Tavira and the Spanish border is generally warmer, calmer and more Mediterranean. Something to keep in mind when planning your trip!

Since I (Matilda) am from Sweden we were always on the look out for the ultimate passport travel sling. This design has a zippered pocket on the inside that perfectly holds your passport, and a hidden phone sleeve on the back so that your phone is always within easy reach. Who wouldn’t want to spend a long weekend hiking through wildflower meadows, exploring old-growth forests, visiting alpine lakes, and taking in the views of Mount Rainier?

Carmel-by-the-Sea, California
Storybook cottages, dramatic coastline, white-sand beaches, and charming little streets make this the perfect place to spend a long relaxing weekend.

Telluride, Colorado
One of our favorite towns in the world, Telluride offers a historic downtown packed with cafes and restaurants, and some of Colorado’s most beautiful scenery in a spectacular mountain setting.

Moab, Utah
Located perfectly between Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and Dead Horse Point State Park, Moab is the perfect home base for spending a long weekend exploring the best of what Utah nature has to offer. Dramatic red-rock landscapes, winding canyons, towering arches, and endless opportunities for hiking and exploring the desert.

Leavenworth, Washington

📍 Olafsfjörður, Iceland

Olafsfjörður feels like one of those places where the landscape does most of the talking. Tucked between steep mountains and the sea in northern Iceland, this little fishing town is especially beautiful in summer when the lupines bloom and the days seem to stretch on forever. A quiet place to slow down, take the scenic route, and soak up a different side of Iceland.

🏠Where to stay: Brimnes Cabins offer beautiful wooden cabins with private hot tubs (all heated from natural hot springs)
🥾What to do: go hiking to truly enjoy the scenery, watch for whales, and soak in the local public hot pools
🚐 How to get here: it’s a five hour drive from Reykjavik - the easiest way to get here will be by renting a car (plus, it’s a beautiful drive with lots to see along the way)
