your visuals are the universal language to setting the tone and vibe. there’s a reason certain people shop at hot topic vs abercrombie. now imagine if they switched aesthetics. so weird right? that’s how damn powerful visuals and setting a vibe is.

getting married on the courthouse steps can be so ✨chic✨

these two cuties decided to have a courthouse ceremony on the steps of the courthouse with their closest friends and family in the morning, then they took those friends and family over to Populus™ for an intimate lunch to celebrate.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’m open to any and all types of weddings because it’s your wedding day and I’m happy to create art from it. But I think when I was creating this post, what kept coming to mind is that you have full control to narrow down the options you have and keep it simple without losing how special it is. You have full control to elope on the steps of the courthouse and get your favorite people together for lunch. Especially if the Wedding industry is making you feel overwhelmed or you’re hitting decision paralysis point.

Just because you choose to do a courthouse or small elopement, doesn’t make your wedding day or your love story any less special. It’s not worth having panic attacks to meet the expectations of others.

You want a certain vibe with your photos, but you also want a few or you look extra cool and editorial and something like out of a skateboard magazine? You got the right gworlllll

and this post is literally just these two engagement photos. I get the honor of photographing their wedding next year. It’s gonna be so sick.

(if you’re reading this and you’re engaged and very much worried about how weird you feel or look in photos, I need to reiterate that you deserve to look cool af in your photo. Stop settling for photographers who just opened up shop last week and they’re gonna charge you $10. Everyone starts somewhere but Photography is very much what you pay for. Your wedding deserves more.)

we all know that the solarium at the Denver botanic Gardens is a pretty special place. But I’m gonna be so honest. It’s extra special when q***r joy is expressed and witnessed publicly and without fear of judgment.

These two created a ceremony set up that was more of a circle of all of their closest friends and Support system. They wanted to truly be surrounded by the people who love them the most, and I think that’s so beautiful.

The Denver botanic Gardens is the perfect place to host your wedding if you’re looking for something local, beautiful at all times of the year, in a spot that will really wow your support system that’s coming along.

Highlands Ranch Mansion was seriously the perfect venue for these two and my Photo brain would not stop going into high gear. There are so many Photo possibilities at the mansion. I feel like I could have photograph there for an additional eight more hours and still not be able to get all the photos that I wanted to get.

today I have the day off from weddings but a week ago I was at the mansion with these two. It was such a lovely day with tons of intentional detail. As a photographer, I wish more couples understood that their venue matters a lot when it comes to the vibes of their photographs. This wedding would look a whole lot different if it was at an industrial venue in downtown Denver, you know what I mean??

Anyway, if you’re getting married at the Highlands Ranch mansion, I would love to be considered as your photographer and I’ll even throw in a couple of complementary hours so that I can take advantage of being back at the mansion and getting all the photos that we want 😈 dm me your wedding date to check availability and we can chat 🥰

literally no one asked for this but ya know, you’re welcome. in case you’re wanting me as your wedding photographer, i think it’s important you know who i am and if we will get along for 8+ hours.

cheesman park will forever be one of my favorite spots for a couples to elope.

It was perfect for these two to share a little wedding day picnic and get some cool photographs after they just finished up seeing Vows downtown.

They hired me for my courthouse elopement package that includes:
- two hours of photography time
- logistics and planning Assistance
- and freedom to do what you want on your wedding day as long as we stay within Denver.

some couples who purchase this package do the courthouse thing and that’s it and that’s totally OK. Some couples purchased this package and elope at their favorite spot in Denver. It’s really cool to see how couples customize this day for themselves.

The courthouse elopement package is limited to weekdays but available all year round. The pricing breakdown is available on my website because I don’t believe in hiding my prices.

clyffordstillmuseum is an incredible place to elope and celebrate eloping. they also offer fully buyouts for smaller weddings and i neeeeed a couple to host their wedding there plz. so damn gorgeous.

if you only enrich your life with doomscrolling, you’ll just regurgitate the s**t your looking at.

🌙 following a s**t ton of photographers? you’re gonna end up doing exactly what they’re doing.
🌙 engaged and following wedding pages? your wedding will probably end up checking someone else’s boxes and not your own.
🌙 depending on your phone for inspo? okay, that’ll only get you so far. make time to watch a movie, go to the museum (or look at museum sites, they have collections online!!!), or just going for a walk.

i get randomly inspired and i try my best to make note of the things that inspire me to further examine later - here’s my first step to making that happen. there’s no right or wrong way to be inspired, i hope you enjoyed this little peek into my brain 🤪

maternity with bianca and luis 💖😍 I got a message from them saying hey, we know that you never shoot maternity, but will you shoot our photos? And the answer for these two is always yes to be honest LOL because I know that they’re not looking for cookie cutter, anything.

They want images that are so f**king cool and outside of the box - and honestly no matter what I’m photographing I’m gonna make sure that it’s centered around art.

So together, we just decided we’re gonna run around downtown together and see what we can come up with. The allowance of that creative freedom is literally everything to me. I’m so honored to photograph life’s moments like these. Especially for these two.💖💖
