As Founder & CEO of Colorado Health & Tech Centers, Afshin is developing new biotech campuses across the Front Range. His leadership and vision were on display during the CBSA Drive to Five: Colorado Life Sciences Innovation Tour, where industry leaders visited CHTC’s Greenwood Village site.

The recent Drive to Five: Colorado Life Sciences Innovation Tour, led by Colorado BioScience Association, spotlighted how leading organizations are accelerating growth and delivering real impact for patients.

Medtronic has been part of Colorado’s life sciences community for more than 50 years. Its 40-acre campus in Lafayette houses R&D, hands-on training, and operations designed to support long-term growth.

Umoja Biopharma in Louisville is advancing in vivo CAR T therapies for cancer and autoimmune diseases. With $100 million in Series C financing and a presence in Colorado’s P-TECH education program, Umoja is building the future of science and supporting the next generation of talent.

Based in Boulder, Foresight Diagnostics moved to Colorado in 2020 and has grown rapidly, now employing nearly 100 people. The company has raised $86 million and is preparing to bring its ultra-sensitive cancer relapse test to market. The Colorado ecosystem helped them build a world-class team from day one.
