Can you spot where one satellite's data ends and another's begins?

On 6 August, six of our FOREST satellites, FOREST-4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, passed over a near cloud-free stretch of the Western United States and together captured a combined thermal view of roughly 700 by 700 kilometers around Yellowstone National Park.

No visible seams, no post-processing, and no manual color correction applied: our OTC-P1 satellites aligning with a consistency that reflects the calibration built into every unit of the constellation.

The Yellowstone composite is not an isolated case.
Many recent thermal views from OTC-P1 show no spatial gaps in thermal coverage, no need for post-processing.

As our proprietary constellation continues to grow, this consistency becomes increasingly significant. It means broader, more frequent views of the Earth's surface can be assembled from multiple satellites without compromises on accuracy.

This summer, Belgium just recorded its largest wildfire in history.

It broke out in the High Fens (Hautes Fagnes) nature reserve, on the Belgium-Germany border, on August 14. The last new hotspot was recorded on August 17. Authorities warned that fully extinguishing it, and preventing it from reigniting, could take weeks.

🚨 Around 3,000 hectares of moorland were burned, close to two-thirds of the entire nature reserve. Peat beneath the surface is what made it so hard to put out: it keeps smoldering and reigniting underground, long after the visible fire looks under control.

Belgium has never been considered a wildfire-prone country. But this summer alone, it has counted 234 fires, more than double 2025's total. The average number from 2010 to 2025 was 62 wildfires per year.

What used to be unthinkable here is becoming the new summer normal, and it's a pattern showing up across continental Europe.

Another step towards helping protect Colorado!

Our wildfire detection system is now fully operational across the Aspen Fire District ✅

Aspen already had one of the best wildfire camera networks in the region. It just couldn't see everything. Across the rugged, densely forested Lincoln Creek Valley, remote and hidden spots were too many for ground-based monitoring to fully cover.

Our satellites close that gap. Aspen now has continuous, satellite-based coverage across terrain that was once its hardest to monitor.

None of this happens without the right people behind it.
Fire Chief Jacob Andersen and the teams at Aspen Fire and Aspen Wildfire Foundation have been driving Aspen's wildfire strategy from the ground up. The project was also made possible by the Aspen Wildfire Foundation, thanks to the vision and generosity of retired paramedic firefighter George Newell, together with the Independence Pass Foundation.

The best space infrastructure isn't always in space.

This month, OroraTech began operating through a dedicated ground station antenna at the - Kongsberg Satellite Services Svalbard site , one of the world's most strategically located ground station networks for polar-orbiting satellites.

Its unique location enables access to polar-orbiting satellites on every orbit, making Svalbard ideal for frequent, low-latency satellite communications.

Today, our Mission Control team consistently manages more than 2,000 satellite overpasses every month across FOREST-3, GENA-OT-1, and the Hellenic Fire System.

While our satellites collect thermal data in orbit, ground stations are what bring that data back to Earth. Having dedicated antenna capacity gives us greater control over communications with our growing fleet and helps us move thermal intelligence from space to the people who need it faster.

It's another important step as we continue building the infrastructure behind real-time thermal intelligence.

The wildfire emergency in Spain hit hard this year.

On 22 July 2026, a wildfire broke out in Almorox, Toledo province, and spread to Villa del Prado, in the Community of Madrid. It was part of the wider wildfire crisis that swept through central Spain that summer, which included Spain's largest wildfire on record, in nearby Ávila province.

This visualization shows the thermal data captured by our thermal constellation OTC-P1 during the emergency. These observations supported the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) Rapid Mapping service, providing additional situational context for assessing wildfire extent and damage.

The activation was requested by the spanish civil protection and is part of a pilot under the Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM) framework, aimed at improving the timeliness and accuracy of Rapid Mapping when analyzing wildfire events, offering emergency responders additional situational context.

The world's first wildfire constellation is actively supporting the affected areas. We are working on expanding its coverage to more and more countries.

Spokane fires, Washington. Not contained. Our US team is opening free access to our Wildfire Solution platform for anyone supporting the response.

Three fires, Autumn Lane, Old Trails, and Fairview, broke out over the weekend of August 1–3, 2026, together burning an estimated 3,200 hectares and forcing tens of thousands of residents to evacuate.

Hundreds of homes and other structures have been lost. Washington's governor has declared a state of emergency and mobilized the National Guard as containment efforts continue.

Our satellite imagery shows the extent of the fires as they moved through the region, right up to the edge of the city of Spokane.

🚨 Our US office is giving access to our Wildfire Solution platform at no cost to any fire departments, emergency management or local government supporting the response.

This is the heart of Europe's fire season. Greece is in the spotlight now, and we're closely following the updates from the ground.

Right now, our global constellation of wildfire satellites (OTC-P1) is keeping watch over Greek territory, day and night, delivering detections regularly. Here's a look at the past few weeks over Greece.

That data is already reaching firefighters on the ground this fire season, even as we finalize the Hellenic Fire System, Greece's own national constellation, launched this past May.

This is part of what we can do to support next to the work of the firefighters and emergency crews on the ground: ensure persistent coverage from above and fast downlinking to the real heroes down there.
