So I had some time to work on my own personal Nintendo GameCube.

Symptoms: picking and choosing when it wants to read a disc. It would take numerous restarts till it finally read the disc.

Since I’ve own this GC since 2002 and know it’s history. I decided it wasn’t the laser going bad , but the caps that drive that laser.

Now it’s fully functional again 🥳

While I’m considered a seasoned repairman, I ran into something I’ve never seen before.

While working on my early gen GameCube I ran into this random resistor and had me scratching my head. Turns out it was a quick fix from Nintendo for the disc drive. 🤷‍♂️

I love learning new things 😌

Customer states child ran off with controller and broke HDMI port on top of cracking the mid frame. Can you save it for my husband’s birthday so he can play GTA6?

Me: simple fix, give me a day.

Findings: typical ps5 dust , typical dry ps5 CPU.

Super smooth repair with a slight artistic twist.

I tell people I can repair almost anything. Most common thing that people are afraid to repair or replace is a electrical outlet… it’s super simple.

I’m not saying I’m cheap, I’m just saying I didn’t need to spend $5 because 1 led was burnt out 🤷‍♂️

I removed it and bridged the connection to get my money’s worth
🤣

No more flicking 😉
