So I bought a replacement board for this Pokemon yellow.
I’ve been sitting on this copy for a long time.
Due to corrosion the board doesn’t save properly even after replacing the ram and memory chips.

Is your missing it’s disc?
Fear not!!!!
Now there’s a work around so your in no longer a paperweight. 😉

Instead of paying $150 for a replacement disc, this work around costs a whole $25… check it out 👀

So I had some time to work on my own personal Nintendo GameCube.

Symptoms: picking and choosing when it wants to read a disc. It would take numerous restarts till it finally read the disc.

Since I’ve own this GC since 2002 and know it’s history. I decided it wasn’t the laser going bad , but the caps that drive that laser.

Now it’s fully functional again 🥳

While I’m considered a seasoned repairman, I ran into something I’ve never seen before.

While working on my early gen GameCube I ran into this random resistor and had me scratching my head. Turns out it was a quick fix from Nintendo for the disc drive. 🤷‍♂️

I love learning new things 😌

When a single mom asks you to do a job on the cheap because she was quoted close to $1k to have it done.
I like helping people out and screwing over mechanics 😉 (from 2022)

Customer states child ran off with controller and broke HDMI port on top of cracking the mid frame. Can you save it for my husband’s birthday so he can play GTA6?

Me: simple fix, give me a day.

Findings: typical ps5 dust , typical dry ps5 CPU.

Super smooth repair with a slight artistic twist.

I tell people I can repair almost anything. Most common thing that people are afraid to repair or replace is a electrical outlet… it’s super simple.
