How does the future of project management get made? At PMI Mile-Hi, it starts with people like the ones in this photo. 👋

Being named a PMI Chapter of the Year Finalist reflects a year of work from volunteers across more than 100 chapter roles. They plan Symposium and WPML, lead Job Seekers Group sessions, host networking nights in Denver South and Boulder, welcome new members every month, and spend a full day helping local nonprofits through PMDoS.

In just a few days, we'll head to the PMI Global Summit in Detroit to celebrate alongside fellow finalists from Sydney, Greece, Pernambuco, UAE, Bangladesh, and Ghana. We're proud to be in that company, and prouder of the people who got us there.

Being a PMI Mile Hi member means more than managing tasks and timelines. It means showing up for each other. We trade war stories and laugh a little along the way.

Project management can get serious fast. This chapter keeps it from getting too serious.

Project management can feel heavy; this group makes it lighter. Real connections 🤝 make the work easier and a lot more fun.

Please join us in 👋 welcoming Shivanandini (Nandini) Tanuku as Director of the new PMI Mile Hi Front Range Branch!

Nandini brings 20 years of experience in strategic planning, product development, program management, and operational excellence across complex technology organizations. She earned her PMP in 2018 and currently serves as Director of Technical Program Management at Quantinuum.

As Branch Director, Nandini is focused on creating meaningful networking opportunities where people feel welcomed and connected, and on helping members build relationships that last beyond a single event. She's also passionate about learning and development and wants to give members more ways to strengthen their skills and learn from one another.

📍 The Front Range Branch serves Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, and Greeley.

As the branch takes shape, volunteers and speakers who want to help grow the PMI community in Northern Colorado are welcome to reach out to Nandini.

The PMI Mile Hi Mentoring Program has an incredible group of mentees ready to take the next step in their careers. All we are missing now is more mentors to help guide them. Professionals just like 🫵 you!

Our mentees are seeking support with:

✅ Transitioning into project management from other careers
✅ Career direction and professional development
✅ PMP and certification preparation
✅ Resume reviews and interview coaching
✅ Growing into leadership and senior-level roles
✅ PMO and project management best practices
✅ Building confidence and navigating career changes

You do NOT need decades of experience to make a difference.

When nonprofits spend a day with project managers, they come back. 💯

After this year's Project Management Day of Service, we asked our nonprofit partners how it went. Here's what they told us:

✔️ 100% felt prepared going into the day
✔️ 100% would return
✔️ 100% would recommend PMDoS to other nonprofits

More than 30 PMI Mile Hi volunteers spent the day working alongside organizations focused on mental health, disability inclusion, food insecurity, cultural awareness, and family support. Every team left with something they could use right away, including roadmaps, communication plans, process improvements, and timelines.
