Produce season has us thinking back to our roots 🍑

Back in the late 1970s, the DeLine team made regular trips to Palisade, CO to learn from peach farmers and build stronger produce boxes. Former President Jim DeLine used to tell his young sons getting involved in the box business that there was a “farmer’s daughter” waiting to meet them in Palisade.

Spoiler: there were no farmer’s daughters. But there were a lot of good lessons from the Western Slope orchards that shaped how we build boxes today.

Proud to still serve the farms and stores that bring fresh produce to your table.

The DeLine family has been manufacturing packaging in Colorado since 1912.

In the early 1900s, I.A. DeLine founded a packaging company that automated the manufacturing of heart shaped candy boxes, right in Downtown Denver. In 1933, Edwin DeLine started his own corrugated box business. Then in 1972, Jim DeLine opened the current DeLine Box location which is currently run by his son Dave DeLine.

This is a story that goes beyond boxes, it’s about family, history, legacy and a commitment to manufacturing sustainable packaging in the USA for over 100 years.
