You can introduce a new policy. You can restructure a team. You can roll out new training.

None of those things automatically change culture.

Culture change asks us to pay attention to the beliefs, behaviors, and everyday experiences that shape how work actually gets done.

That includes psychological safety. Do people feel safe asking questions? Sharing a different perspective? Admitting a mistake?

Our blog explores why psychological safety is about more than speaking up and what it looks like to intentionally create a culture where people can thrive.

Ready to go deeper? ACJI’s Culture Academy, facilitated by our very own Glenn Tapia, gives justice and community reentry leaders practical tools to better understand culture and intentionally influence it.

The next cohort begins September 14.

What if the leadership challenge in front of you cannot be solved by working harder?
Some challenges are technical. Others ask us to rethink how we lead or respond.
Adaptive leadership starts by recognizing the difference.
In our latest blog, we explore why some of the most difficult leadership challenges require us to look inward before we look for another solution.

Read the blog (link below) & learn more about our upcoming Adaptive Leadership Academy beginning September 15.

Even the most accomplished leaders have moments of self doubt.
What happens when you start questioning whether you really belong in the room?
Join for our next Learn@Work LIVE on Friday, September 11th at 12PM MT for an honest conversation about imposter syndrome and the pressures that can come with leadership.
Dr. Beth Skinner, Jessica Dennis Bradley, and Seth Krause, MHRM will join ACJI’s Dr. Alexandra Walker to explore how self doubt can show up throughout your career and what it means to lead authentically through it.
Because strong leadership does not mean having all the answers. Sometimes, it means being willing to admit that you don’t.

Your team is already giving you feedback. The question is: What happens next?

In government work, feedback can reveal what is working, where people are struggling, and what needs to change. But without the right systems in place, even valuable insights can get lost.

On September 3, join ACJI’s Dr. Alex for Feedback That Fuels: Building Responsive Systems for Change in Government Work, a FREE Justice Clearinghouse webinar focused on turning feedback into action.

Learn how to create feedback loops that support continuous improvement, determine what feedback to act on, and build the resilience needed to receive feedback without losing momentum.

If you want feedback to become a tool for real improvement, rather than another box to check, this session is for you.

What happens when your team gets feedback?
Does it lead to meaningful change, or does it get collected, discussed, and quietly forgotten?

For government leaders, gathering feedback is only the first step. The real challenge is building systems that turn what you hear into better decisions, stronger teams, and continuous improvement.

On September 3, join ACJI’s Dr. Alex for Feedback That Fuels: Building Responsive Systems for Change in Government Work, a FREE The Justice Clearinghouse webinar.

You’ll walk away with practical strategies to build stronger feedback loops, identify which feedback deserves action, integrate evaluation into everyday work, and create a culture where feedback fuels progress.
If you lead a team, manage change, or want your organization to become more responsive, this session is for you.
