WordPress users: I just started using the Wordfence security plugin, which acts both as a bit of a firewall and antivirus for your WP installation...and it's free. Any iCloud Photo Stream gurus out there? How can I download all of the photos in My Photo Stream to a Windows PC? I recently installed the iCloud Control Panel and am seeing NEW photos synced to my PC but even after having it installed for almost a month now I'm not getting any of the old photos I took before I installed the Control Panel, only the new ones (83 photos so far). My iPod Touch reports there are 1,000 photos in the stream...is there some way to download all of them?

Can anyone recommend a free iPhone app that can make a collage but where the final image isn't constrained to a square? I have Pic Stitch but it and just about every other collage app I can find only outputs a square image (thus severely cropping the original images) and I want something that just stitches two image together as one big rectangle. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pic-stitch/id454768104?mt=8

Looks like I won't be going back to Instagram any time soon. "[Their] agreement gives Instagram perpetual use of photos and video as well as the nearly unlimited right to license the images to any and all third parties. And, after granting this broad license to Instagram, photographers also relinquish the right to terminate the agreement. Once uploaded, they cannot remove their work and their identity from Instagram. If this doesn't push you to add video to your photography toolkit, nothing will. "The Sun-Times business is changing rapidly and our audiences are consistently seeking more video content with their news. We have made great progress in meeting this demand and are focused on bolstering our reporting capabilities with video and other multimedia elements..."

The Chicago Sun-Times has laid off its entire photography staff, and plans to use freelance photographers going forward, the newspaper said.

About 20 full-times staffers received the news Thursday morning, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The newspaper released a statement suggesting the move reflected the increasing importance of video in news reporting...
