when people know how to build strong connections they afford themselves more opportunities. And when people know what they want and need they ultimately feel more confident and can build the foundation for effective professional and personal networks. The truth is most people have never been taught soft skills and haven't had the opportunity to really think about the following question, "Why do you get out of bed in the morning and why should anyone care?" As a certified, professional networking coach and consultant I merge traditional coaching methods with soft skills to help empower people so they can learn how to create strong connections, lead a meaningful career and live a purposeful life. Trained under the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) I actively listen to my client’s needs by asking the right questions, honor a confidential and non-judgmental space, which results in clients creating their own solutions. As a coach I help clients create benchmarks while holding them accountable for their desired success. I am passionate and believe in the coaching practice because it directly enables clients to ask for what they want in their life and then come up with a deliberate plan to take action while their confidence and self-esteem dramatically increases. Even as a young child, I never had a fear of connecting with people as it always came naturally. Initiating in conversation, asking questions and actively listening have played a huge part in the person I am today, which is why I am passionate about teaching others successful ways to network, build skills to avoid from wasting time and building solid relationships for their business. "To be successful, you need to network" but we aren't taught how to do it! Working in a variety of different professions, I left and found myself not knowing what I wanted to “do”, but knew I needed to network. I recognized I wanted to work directly with people in a positive way. Someone suggested I become a coach because of my work with people in building confidence. I became certified as a coach after completing a yearlong program while working for a company that taught coaching principles to employees. They taught goal setting for personal and professional development. It was the perfect transition into the formation of what I really enjoyed which gave me the foundation to niche my business. When I looked through journals and exercises, I continued to see the word: "networking". I've always loved people and connecting, so I began attending every networking event I could find, I documented what worked well and what didn't. From there, I developed programs to teach people how to have the most successful networking experiences. I help you develop the mind set of, “what can I do to serve you” instead of "what can I get from it". I also founded Meetup where people could come practice different networking strategies and I could be accountable for the practices I am teaching. As the group continues to grow, I facilitate once or twice a month, and the results are groups of people who build relationships with confidence, a changed heart for helping others in business and empowerment with success in networking. Before pursuing a career in coaching I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in International Relations. After graduating I worked as a legal recruiter with Patton Boggs LLP in Washington, DC and then facilitated international trade at the Canadian Consulate in Denver, CO. I thrive on connecting with like-minded individuals, exploring all types of restaurants and cuisines and enjoy all cultural experiences that broaden and challenge my way of thinking.
