Mold remediation in an attic is rarely easy work.

At this project, our team had to remove the existing blown-in insulation to gain access to heavily mold-stained roof decking. Once the affected surfaces were exposed, our technicians worked through the remediation process in a very tight attic space—HEPA vacuuming, scrubbing the roof decking, applying antimicrobial treatment, and carefully addressing the affected materials.

This is the kind of work that shows why proper mold remediation is more than simply spraying a product over visible staining. It takes access, containment, detailed cleaning, and a methodical process to properly treat the affected surfaces and remove contamination from the space.

Tight quarters, difficult conditions, and a lot of hands-on work—but that’s what the job required to get this attic properly remediated.

Sometimes a damaged section of carpet doesn’t mean the entire room needs to be replaced.

For this project, our team completed a carpet insert repair, carefully replacing the damaged section and blending the repair back into the surrounding carpet for a clean, finished result.

It’s another example of how the right repair can restore the look and function of a space without unnecessary replacement.

Dark staining in an attic is only what you can see. Proper mold remediation is about addressing the contamination on the surface and the fine particulate that can remain behind.

For this project, our team used what we call the HEPA Sandwich:

HEPA vacuum → wet wipe/clean → HEPA vacuum again.

The first HEPA vacuuming removes loose spores, dust, and debris from the affected surfaces. We then thoroughly clean and treat those surfaces before performing a second HEPA vacuuming to capture any remaining particulate disturbed during the cleaning process.

The before-and-after difference is dramatic, but the real goal goes beyond appearance. It’s about removing contamination as thoroughly as possible and leaving the attic cleaner and healthier than we found it.
