Hi , reaching out to people who have tested their house for the radioactive gas otherwise known as Radon and found it to be low before but high now. Maybe you're saying that this doesn't make sense. Sure it doesn't makes perfectly good sense. Radon is a gas and so it's going to go where the air goes. It's rising up now due to the stack effect from having the heat on. if roof is open it will go, but the roof's not open, so it can't go out. It can only build up. Now the problem is that makes equilibrium ratio 1. SO- you need to move air to cause plate out , so you don't breathe in all the decay products from the radon gas. Radon isn't killing us it is the decay products that are there now because the radon has built up and can't get out. We don't want to only crack a window cause that will just draw more in. So move air to splat the radioactive particles - the decay products - on the walls, etc. Turn a fan on a tad.
Not the bathroom fan or the kitchen fan you want to try to limit the stack effect and the pulling in of air through your slab or your basement walls that may have dirt up against them. filtering is a great idea. You don't have to spend a $100 on an air cleaner. buy a box fan and tape a furnace filter to it.😉

Everybody has it.You just got to hope that yours is not excessive. An honestly , if it is , it's very fixable. But I can tell you this if you have a well In your basement, that is open or a stream of water coming in that fills up a basin.A radon gas mitigation company cannot fix that problem by putting a sub slab depressurization system in your house. So please , if something doesn't seem right , it's probably not. People ask me if Radon is shady, you know what? I've seen a lot of shady. Radon and it's decay products such as polonium, bismuth and lead are not shady they're dangerous. Polonium is the most radioactive Element in bismuth and lead.Well , not only are they radioactive , but they're heavy metals. Hello maybe that got your attention. You know what's in the cigarette?You're smoking some polonium.You know what the smoke from your cigarette does?
