Pork Checkoff Community Guidelines

The goal of The Pork Checkoff social media channels is to provide an open interactive environment where participants are free to make comments, ask questions, and share opinions. By engaging with our social media channels, you not only agree to follow these guidelines, but also agree to take responsibility for your comments, your username, and any information you submit. The Pork Checkoff reserves the right to remove any posts that don’t adhere to our guidelines and to block anyone who violates them repeatedly. Comments and posts that violate any of the guidelines listed below may be hidden or removed:

• We also do not allow comments that are abusive, hateful, vindictive or intended to defame anyone or any organization.

• Do not post advertisements, prize contests or giveaways. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency. Similarly, we do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.

• Do not post details about an ongoing investigation or legal or administrative proceeding that could prejudice the processes or could interfere with an individual's rights will be deleted from this page.

Building a brighter future for the industry takes more than an idea. It takes strategy, industry-wide collaboration and producer input.

That’s why the NPB Board created the 3-Year Strategic Plan, a blueprint to moving the industry forward. The three goals of the strategic plan are simple: build pork demand, foster industry collaboration and improve swine health.

After the plan’s kick-off in January of 2026, NPB has made measurable steps forward in each goal. From the launch of the Taste What Pork Can Do® and multicultural campaigns, to the establishment of the 6new producer-led committees, to the creation of the National Swine Health Strategy, NPB is bringing together producer voices and expert insights.

Jesse Heimer, a third-generation Missouri pig farmer and NPB board member, is helping prepare both young people and the pork industry for the future.
