So proud to share that our very own Zeal member, Staci Sullivan Allison, is celebrating something exciting.

Radiate Light LLC is having its ribbon cutting on Thursday, March 5 at 4:15 pm, and the grand opening on Saturday, March 28 from 2 to 5 pm.

Radiate Light, LLC
The Radiate Light Collective
2819 100th Street, Suite 1
Urbandale, IA 50322

If you are available, I encourage you to stop by and support a woman building something meaningful in our community.

You can learn more about Radiate Light Collective here:
https://www.radiatelight.org/

Congratulations, Staci. We are cheering you on.

We officially got occupancy and are moved into the Radiate Light Collective space ✨

There’s something surreal about carrying boxes, setting up altars, arranging cozy corners, and even opening the doors and seeing Elemental Balance with her first client in a space that was once just a vision in our hearts❣️

Tomorrow Grateful Life Wellness with Melodie Polansky hosts her very first sound bath in the new space — I can’t wait to hear those bowls sing into these walls✨

And… We are overwhelmed in the best way. By the love. By the support. By the friends and family who have lifted furniture, cleaned floors, hung art, offered encouragement, and believed in this dream. It truly takes a village to build a community home.

lighg collective is becoming exactly what we prayed it would be — a sanctuary for connection, restoration, expansion, and soul-led community.

We are just getting started… and we are so excited for the journey ahead.

Thank you for walking it with us 🤍

Last Wednesday we held our first virtual Zeal meeting of 2026, led by Amy Landrigan, CEO of The Beacon Des Moines

We had a powerful conversation about emotional regulation in relationships and how nervous system responses show up even in strong, high functioning women.

Fight.
Flight.
Freeze.
Fawn.

Not personality flaws. Wiring.

When the brain perceives emotional threat, stress hormones rise and access to calm reasoning decreases. That is why pause matters.

Pause is not weakness.
Pause is chemistry.

Emotional regulation is leadership.

Leadership in business.
Leadership in friendships.
Leadership at home.

Zeal meets the fourth Wednesday of every month, rotating between virtual and in person gatherings. Our next meeting will be in person.

We also have a private Slack space where recaps and resources are shared between meetings.

If you are a woman building something meaningful and want to grow in a room like this, message us and we’ll share details about joining Zeal and our Slack community!

Zeal ladies,

We wanted to share a quick update. Our February gathering that was scheduled for this Friday will be postponed until March. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we adjust the calendar.

We will truly miss seeing you this week. Time together always fills our cups, and we value every woman who shows up in this space.

Our next gathering will be virtual on Wednesday, February 25.

We rotate every fourth Wednesday between virtual and in person meetings, and we look forward to reconnecting with you there.

This morning was exactly what we needed.

There’s something sacred about women gathering early in the day, before the noise, just to reflect, reconnect, and remember what matters. From intention to tend, chrysalis to faith, we shared the words guiding our transitions into a new year.

If you missed us today at Barista's Bouquet , we’d still love to see you this February - twice!

This weekend was a really good reminder of what Zeal is about.

We came together to cook and drop off a homemade dinner at The Beacon Des Moines, an organization here in Des Moines supporting women as they rebuild their lives. It wasn’t about doing anything big or dramatic. It was about showing up, sharing a meal, and being part of something meaningful.

Zeal has always been about women supporting women, in real and practical ways. Volunteering, cooking, showing up, and standing alongside organizations doing good work in our community is part of who we are.

As we head into the New Year, if you’re looking for another simple way to support women in Des Moines, consider 26 for Her. Just $26 a month helps provide a safe place, stability, and supportive services for women working to restart their lives.

Giving isn’t about fixing. It’s about standing alongside.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support The Beacon Des Moines this holiday season, a nonprofit partner creating safety, stability, and community for women rebuilding their lives. Our group will be providing Christmas Eve dinner for the women this year, and it is an honor to help make the season feel warm and welcoming.

If you would like to support The Beacon this week, there are several meaningful ways to get involved.

Visit Christkindlmarket Des Moines to see their beautiful Christmas tree, created as a fundraiser and decorated with handmade ornaments crafted by the women. Bidding is open throughout the event, and The Beacon Board of Directors will also be volunteering in the Bratwurst Tent.

Tomorrow, you can stop by the Alternative Gift Market for another opportunity to support their mission through community giving.

The holiday season can be tender for many, and gestures of care like these help surround the women at The Beacon with warmth, dignity, and hope as they continue rebuilding their lives.

This morning was exactly what we needed.

There’s something sacred about women gathering early in the day, before the noise, just to reflect, reconnect, and remember what matters.

Today we shared space and stories. We named our hopes and held our transitions. Words like tend, intention, faith, and chrysalis grounded us — quiet reminders of who we are and who we are becoming.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to Repinned Upholstery Workroom for the warm, welcoming space.

RSVP is never required. Just come as you are.
