Responsibilities include prospecting for new customers and maintaining existing relationships.
• Cold call, lead management, make sales appointments and follow up.

Job Description
We are looking for qualified, experienced, Folder Operators (folder-stitcher) to join our team at Bindery 1, Inc. This position is critical to bindery operations and production of products finished in compliance with customer orders.
The Folder Operator set up and operates a variety of machines to automatically fold, slit, and score printed sheets and manufactured printed products such as advertising literature, forms, letters, brochures and pamphlets for binding and related finish operations. This includes ensuring finished product is consistent with order specifications as quickly, accurately, efficiently, and safely as possible. This position requires a high school diploma, demonstrated good basic math skills, ability to use a PC, and stable work history with prior related experience in bindery operations. Experience with paper cutter or similar precision cutting machines highly desired.
- Under direction of the Bindery Supervisor, set up and operate machinery to automatically fold, slit, and score paper sheets for binding and related finish operations at a prescribed rate and quantity, and per specified quality standards.
- Read work orders to determine setup specifications or insert sample sheet in machine and sets guides to edge of sheet.
- Adjust air blasts o feeder to regulate amount of air separating sheets of paper to provide continuous flow through machine.

- Adjust conveyor blades or knurled rollers to feed sheet into folding rollers.
- Adjust folding rollers, side guides, and stops according to specified size and number of folds.
- Set slitting knives to slit sheets as specified.
- Stack sheets to be folded on automatic feed conveyor belt.
- Observe machine operation and adjust machines during production run as required; may operate two or more machines.
- Remove finished products from machines, jog, stack, band, and box folded sheets and forward through production line.
- Interact with Press, UV, Customer Service, Binning and Shipping team members to ensure completion of duties and fulfilling commitment that every product ships on time.
- Perform all tasks following COP's and instructions, and adhere to all safety rules without exception.
- Troubleshoot equipment, solve problems, and enhance the production process on an on-going basis.
- Recommend equipment, solve problems, and enhance the production process on an on-going basis.
- Maintain and clean work area and equipment.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety and environmental practices.
- May operate hand truck, paper jogger, dolly and/or pallet jack in loading and unloading.

Saddle Stitching Operator: Applicant needs to have bindery saddle stitching or equivalent work experience. Looking for someone who has run a saddle stitcher in the past. Has a mechanical aptitude and is capable of diagnosing problems and solving them. Ability to diagnose and recommend equipment repairs, parts, and supplies as needed. Adhere to company policy and procedures. Abides by safety regulations. Must have achievable competency and meets standards in regards to make ready and run times as established by the company. Paid training is available for the right applicant. We have two Heidelberg saddle stitchers with day or night shifts available. Experience is preferred.

• Responsible for all mechanical repairs, modification, preventative maintenance.
• Applicant must be a highly motivated individual willing to work flexible shifts depending on workload in a team orientated environment with minimal supervision.
• Must possess good oral, reading and writing skills for effective communication.
• Consistently practice and enforce safe work and environmental practices including all OSHA, DEP, local Regulatory and Bindery 1 compliances.
• Must furnish their own basic set of tools and know how to properly operate and maintain tools to keep them in safe working order at all times.
• Physical endurance and mobility for prolonged standing, walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, or elevated platforms (indoors and outdoors) and be able to work in confined spaces as needed.
• Safely performing mechanical preventative maintenance procedures and repairs to bindery finishing and mailing equipment.
• May perform basic welding and machinist tasks.
• Overtime required when needed.
• Must have at least three years of experience in printing/bindery operation or working with industrial machinery, trouble shooting repairs, and maintaining production equipment.

The Digital Press Operator reports to the operations team. This positions is responsible for operating digital presses for cutsheet up to 13 x 19. This includes maintenance and operation of the device, creating color profiles, color matching and management, and meeting the quality standards of the business and its' clients This will require working with customer service, prepress and bindery to ensure a quality product is delivered. This position requires a technical skill set with attention to detail.

• Operate and maintain cut sheet digital for color and black on white printing.
• Collaborate with Prepress on imposition requirements and workflows
• Monitor and manage color in accordance with established color standards
• Follow written instructions as outlined in the job instructions, general work instructions, and operating standards
• Perform production quality verification steps in compliance with work instructions to ensure consistent quality
• Perform production record / sequence verification steps with variable data jobs
• Troubleshoot press and print related issues
• Monitor and maintain established consumable inventory levels
• Collaborate with department heads in customer service, bindery and mailing to effectively meet deadlines
• Operate material handling equipment moving press loads raw materials in and out of the department
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn other post print production equipment as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Flexibility to work overtime and in other departments as needed to get the job done

• experience with color management, sample matching, and device profiling
• intermediate knowledge of impositions
