3/29/2022 The Medical Mission Sister and Associates www.medicalmissionsisters.org will hold a Mass for Dr. Rose Kershbaumer, MMS She had devoted 71 years of her life to the saving of lives. By training many to become mid wives. As the improvements, wrote books with Dr. Joyce Thompson later with WHO. Resulting on many lives being born, rather they dying after birth. The teaching from both continues to save lives. From everywhere they went, as well from the books they wrote. I am sure their is a place in Heaven for Sister Rose. Brother Louis Kershbaumer.

I light the candles
and close my eyes.
The faces of those for
whom I have promised to pray
come to mind.
I can feel them and
their individual sorrows with me
in the room.

And although this space could
feel crowded and heavy,
it doesn’t.
I am quiet.
Our breathing is in rhythm -
their sighs are my in-breath
My exhale a prayer.

It is how we hold each other.
It is how we are held.
