We build wide belt sanders. Our machines are capable of sanding cabinets, furniture, millwork, or any flat surface wood for a perfect finish. They are available in a variety of widths. They can sand wood anywhere from 37”, 43” and 52” wide. Our machines are built here in the USA. We are located 7 miles east of Detroit Lakes, MN centered in the lakes country.
We take pride in supplying our customers with the finest machines possible. Each machine is meticulously built from scratch. We start with steel sheets. We cut, drill, tap, form, machine, weld, prep, paint, and then assemble wood sanding machines that we sell directly to our customers.
My name is Steve, I started American Wide Belt Sander INC.
Many years ago I had a wood shop. I needed a wide belt sander. I never had the money to buy one, so I built one. It worked so well that I decided to build them for sale, that was back in 1990, 33 years ago.
After doing wood working for 9 years and building wide belt sanders for 33. I’m ready to retire. I’m looking for someone to take over. Someone to run the day-to-day operations. I will still be in charge of research and development, and I will always be available to answer any questions, help a customer with a problem etc.
What is the future for American Wide Belt Sander INC.?
At present we are working on a new line of sanders to add to our present line. These new machines should more than double our current production. Besides building wide belt sanders we could manufacture other products also; the sky is the limit.
We also need a lead welder, and someone to assemble our sanders. These positions pay $25 per hour.
