When trying to find water damage in a boat's hull, one of the best non-destructive ways is to use a thermal camera.

The water-saturated area absorbs heat differently than the dry material. That temperature difference is able to be detected by the thermal camera as shown in this example on this Searay Sorrento 25.

Last Friday we sent in our application packet for credentials as Flag State Inspectors for the Panama Registry.

If approved, this will mean that we with have authorization to conduct inspections on over 25% of the civilian maritime fleet in the entire world.

At ADEVRO Marine Services we conduct non-destructive inspections of the hull. Most surveyors use tap tests and moisture meters.

However, we at ADEVRO are equipped to conduct infrared scans and ultrasound scans of the vessel's hull.

These more advanced methods of surveying can help us see where a moisture meter and hammer cannot. They also can pinpoint areas of concern, reducing the amount of money potentially spent on repairs.
