We work to provide companies with the tools they need to engage with their audiences through digital platforms by providing digital presence and branding workshops, which dive deep in

to the why and how to communicate best with your audiences to achieve your goals. Eden Creative Group also provides integrated marketing strategies that include web design, digital media strategy and content creation, and event planning services. As a Virtual Events Subject Matter Expert, event planning services range from webinars to virtual peer-to-peer fundraising events, to in-person and digital conferences of 1000+ attendees. As Co-Chair of the board for the Detroit chapter of International Women's Day, our Founder, Eden, provides leadership to event planning strategies, marketing, sponsor relations, and media placement for Detroit's annual International Women's Day event. While working to elevate brands and businesses, Eden is also an advocate for entrepreneurs with chronic health conditions. Working to leap over the hurdles of her own autoimmune disease, she learned important life lessons that helped her cultivate habits and strategies for those with chronic conditions to help them work smarter, not harder, in a body that may need a few more accommodations and a little extra TLC. Through this advocacy, she guides fellow entrepreneurs with strategies that promote work-life balance, boundary setting, and physical and mental wellness. This advocacy includes educating leaders on chronic illness and the importance of making space in the workplace to give everyone the tools they need to succeed.

We consider ourselves storytellers at Eden Creative Group. Every business can utilize storytelling to let the world know what they do and how they do it. Through video content, we help clients communicate their mission, values, services, and products all while making sure their message doesn’t come off as “sales-y”. We like to call this advertising without advertising.

Internet users are inundated with thousands of sales ads and content every day. Storytelling is what sets brands apart and hooks audiences into wanting to know more not just about your product or service, but your brand and values.

We love to create the content of those stories and put together the strategies to tell them, and are proud to partner with to help us do what we love and provide our clients with the highest quality video content possible.

✨HOW I ENVISIONED MY FUTURE WOULD GO. ✨ When I was just starting classes at College for Creative Studies, I envisioned what many college freshmen do on their first day. I’ll graduate in four years, get a good-paying job right off the bat, meet the person of my dreams, and sail into the perfect sunset that society promised every kid who went to college. The American Dream right?

That never happened. Fun fact, I’m a college dropout! I couldn’t afford to finish my degree and was pushed into a make or break moment for this country girl in the city. It was one of the toughest moments of my adult life so far making that decision and desperately searching for work.

Long story short, I got a job as an assistant at a consulting agency in Detroit. The people there showed me more compassion than I ever thought was possible in a professional environment. They were my second family in Detroit. They also introduced me to and encouraged me to get to know the people that they surrounded themselves with and foster those relationships for my own future endeavors. It was the greatest experience I could have ever asked for and eventually lead to me learning enough from mentors and gaining enough media and marketing experience to venture out on my own and create Eden Creative Group.

I am honored to announce that Eden Creative Group will continue to work with Detroit Phoenix Center to tell the stories of those that they serve through a video series and campaign called, “Youth of DPC”.

So often, many hear about youth experiencing homelessness, and rather than envisioning a completely normal young person, they see a stereotypical version of homelessness of a person on the side of the street with a cardboard sign. This could not be further from the truth.

This project is extremely personal for me for reasons I have not stated publicly until now. In 2016, I experienced homelessness for almost a year. Within that time, I had a car, a dog, and a job. Nobody, not even my closest family members, knew or recognized it. Some who are close to me refuse to acknowledge it to this day, attaching their own ego to the matter. Hell, I don’t even think I recognized that homelessness was what I was experiencing at the time because of my own misconceptions.

Too often, people fail to offer the same vision of humanity to those experiencing homelessness and poverty as they do to the rest of the world because of misconceptions and false stereotypes and narratives that have been normalized over the years. My goal with this series is to humanize these young people in a way that they often don’t get the privilege of being because of the way that others define them based upon the grim realities of their current and temporary situation. My goal is to make sure that the stories of their youth are just that—youthful—and full of hope and promise.

I tell the following to clients, colleagues, and strangers alike constantly: There are 7 billion people on this planet. If you happen to do something that nobody else is doing, great! Congratulations! But we can’t all be Jeff Bezos. Chances are there are million people behind you starting the same type of business, offering the same type of service or product to sell, or working the same type of job that you have or want.

So what can you do?

1. Don’t be discouraged!

2. Tell your story! That is the only thing that makes each person on this planet unique—their story, their identity. Differentiate yourself by leveraging what makes you one of a kind.

The value of your business or career comes from the people that engage with it. Relational reciprocity makes the world go round. Don’t be afraid to invest time into telling your story and cultivating those relationships with the people who identify with it.

Invest in people. Invest in relationships. Invest in yourself and your story. I promise you won’t be sorry if you do.
