She’s watched my growth in business and is always on the sidelines cheering me on.

Eight years…
Eight summers…
And let me tell you something…

I thought I was showing up to teach them.
But these young people?
They’ve been teaching me.

They taught me patience…
The kind of patience you can’t learn from a book… only from loving people through their process.

They taught me to give more…
Not just information… but time… presence… energy… belief.

Every single year, I walk in asking myself:
“How can I be better for them this time?”

Because truth is…
I didn’t always have someone pouring into me like that.

So I made a decision…

I’m going to be to them
what I wish I had.

I’m going to give them everything I’ve got—
every lesson, every connection, every opportunity—

So they can experience just a piece
of what COMMUNITY has given me.

Because when you’ve been blessed…
you don’t hold it.

You pass it down.

This isn’t just a GDYT program.
This is my purpose work.

And these kids?
They’re not just students.

They’re the reason I keep showing up.

Our students navigate real-world barriers every day, and sustained mentorship provides them with stability, professional direction, and emotional support long after they’ve completed our courses.

It’s in those quieter months—outside the spotlight—where confidence is strengthened, voices are developed, and purpose becomes defined.

We remain accessible, responsive, and fully invested in guiding our young people from curiosity to true career readiness.

Season 3: Session 2. Career Pathways Youth Mentorship Program.

In these tough economic times — when everything feels uncertain and stability can feel fragile — there’s something powerful about being able to hand your child over to a mentor you trust.

Even if it’s just for a day. Parents deserve that relief.

The relief that comes with knowing your child is spending their time with adults who care, who teach with intention, and who model what strong, capable healthcare professionals look like.

That’s what our Career Pathways Youth Mentorship Program provides.

I pray it also gives parents something equally important: hope.

🙏🏾Hope that their child is being shaped by community.
🙏🏾Hope that they are gaining confidence and clarity early.
🙏🏾Hope that they are walking a path with real opportunity ahead.

This is why Career Pathways matters — not just for the future workforce, but for the families who are doing their best to raise strong, capable young people in the middle of challenging times.
