As you are getting more and more clear on what God is calling you to do and you are committed to the assignment you may find that like Caleb you are surrounded by fearful naysayers with limited vision and faith (Number 13 & 14).

Because of their own fear they will try to rise up against you to stop you from moving forward in your belief that God is with you and you can do what He has established for you to do.

The fellow spies that went in with Caleb and Joshua acknowledged that the land was flowing with milk and honey and that the fruit was abundant. They could see the possibilities, to an extent, but they were discouraged by the perceived obstacles to them possessing the land.

They chose to focus on what was against them rather than who was with them. Because of their unbelief God was displeased and they forfeited their blessing.

But Caleb had a different spirit with him and his blessing was preserve.

As we see in this passage

FEAR SPREADS.
NEGATIVE REPORTS SPREAD.
GRUMBLING AND UNBELIEF SPREADS.

If you are tuned into the Holy Spirit and God's prophetic voices in the earth, then you know as a body we are in preparation mode for what is coming next. IYKYK.

Here's the thing, as you are prepping, stocking up on stuff, and getting your house in order do not overlook two very important areas of preparation.

1. ) Spiritually. This is the time to really get into the Word of God for yourself. You must develop a hunger and thirst after righteousness because things may become more scarce in the natural but your spirit does not need to be depleted. This is the time to develop true intimacy and worship with God. Do not rely on worship time at church once a week. You have to be able to be able to lay it all before the Lord where ever you are.

2. ) Purpose. There are ideas that you've had for years and it's BEEN time to move forward with them. It's time to move forward while there's still time. I don't like to be all scary and spooky, but the truth is there are times and seasons for certain instructions we get from God. Our lack of faith, fear, and hesitancy can create unnecessary delay or worse cause us to miss out. I could tell you about a couple of times that I've delayed and either missed out or realized later why God gave me the idea or instructions to do something.

If you're thinking "Nah, you can't miss your blessing from God," take minute and read Numbers 14. There's so much here but the quick summary is the entire generation of Israelites missed out on entering the land that was promised to them due to fear and not trusting God. Joshua and Caleb believe that God would be with them and they were ready to take the land. Their faith was ultimately rewarded though it was delayed.

You will have to decide if you will take the land or hold back due to fear, doubt, unbelief and lack of trust. Move while the Lord is with you and timing is in your favor.

Over the years I've lost time, money, and opportunities due to OVERTHINKING. I really hate that I do that. Sure there are many many benefits to having an analytical and strategic mind. But that OVERthinking thing has got to go! For me overthinking shows up in how much time and thought it takes me to take action once I've made a decision.

A couple of weeks ago I was at the grocery store and I saw a woman in a motorized cart and she was shopping with a child. She let out a loud sigh and a "Whew Jesus!" I walked passed her but I thought about talking to her and offering her prayer.

Then, my mind went into overthink mode.

"Do I have time for this?"
"What if this turns into a long conversation?"
"What if I come off as weird or overbearing?"

Even as I'm writing this I'm realizing that a lot of time my overthinking in centered in me thinking about myself.

Then I thought about all the times I thought about praying for someone and missed the opportunity.

I went back and said "Hi. I heard that you mentioned Jesus a second ago. Is there anything I can pray for you about?"
She declined. And that was ok! I found that I actually left feeling much better than the times I overthought and never even asked.

Anywho, as I move through the remaining of the year I'm going to be more intentional taking action once I've made a decision and not overthinking and dragging my feet.

When you realize how detrimental offense, bitterness, and unforgiveness is to your spiritual walk, your life, your relationships and your purpose you become vigilant about letting go of the things that hurt you. It's time to release people of the personal debt you've been holding against them. With the Holy Spirit true forgiveness is possible!
