With humble beginnings, Valaise began her career as a Bank Teller. Not sure of what career path she would follow at the time, she always had a natural tendency for Math & Business-related subjects. After taking countless personality and career-based assessments and coming up with recurring results, Valaise began to embrace her natural skill set. Armed with that information, Valaise decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in Accounting. After completing the foundational Accounting courses, Valaise decided to broaden her horizons and change to the field of Finance where she earned a Bachelors of Business Administration with high honors @ Davenport University. โI realized that the community of people I grew up knowing and loving could benefit from the gifts and knowledge that I had been blessed with, so I began to nurture that skillset so I could give backโ, says Valaise. Valaise is committed to a lifelong journey of learning demonstrated by completing various Income Tax courses throughout the years in addition to completing the Personal Financial Planning curriculum @ Oakland University. Having spent 10 + years overseeing the back office operations, managing the compliance policies & procedures, conducting the portfolio administration & account reconciliations for a book of business in excess of $1 billion, Valaiseโs experience expands beyond the classroom. Valaise is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals as well as a Certified Minority Business Owner and will continue to remain educated on the evolving world of services offered by Tried and True.
