During this time, there are many changes taking place with people, places, and things. Qualified, innovative, professionals are essential for the growth and sustainability for companies. Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control cannot be used in isolation for corporate improvement strategies. Knowing and executing the DMAIC methodology and lean tools will help professionals plan wisely for the next steps to their personal careers.

As you are planning steps forward to improve your careers, I’d advise a risk assessment with the FMEA tool. This is done during the “I” Improve phase of the DMAIC process. You’ve identified, measured, and have an understanding about how to move forward to a new job or career. What are the risks, which are the most severe, however often does the risk occurs and what are the action plans in place to overcome them.

Remember no matter how technology evolve, quality professionals are needed to restore and sustain corporations. I’ve included a video that would help you understand how to use the model. Why not use this method to improve plans for your life?
