Detroit Chassis Inspires Pershing High School Students with Plant Tour and Career Exploration
Detroit, MI — Thursday, October 2, 2025 — Detroit Chassis hosted 35 seniors from Pershing High School, three chaperones, and Mr. Raymond Bell of Schoolcraft College, for an interactive plant tour designed to showcase career opportunities in manufacturing.
Students arrived to a warm welcome with music in the lobby and were escorted by the Finance team—Brian Salisbury, Finance Director; Dubrece Miller, Sr. Accountant; Miriam Osho, Accounts Payable; and Dave McClerren, Purchasing Manager. In the Family Room, they were greeted by Detroit Chassis leaders, including Dennis Edwards, President; Edwina Milligan, VP of HR; Phil White, Plant Manager; Kamilah Taylor, Safety Manager; Yehia Harajli, VP of Engineering; and Ranson Smith, Director of Process Engineering and Quality.
The program opened with remarks from Dr. Linda Ratliff, followed by a company presentation from President Dennis Edwards. Students then toured the facility in four groups, led by Detroit Chassis guides and supported by associates at each production station.
“Detroit Chassis is proud to partner with local schools to spark interest in manufacturing careers and show students the world-class opportunities available here in Detroit,” said Dennis Edwards, President.
The visit reflected Detroit Chassis’ ongoing commitment to education, workforce development, and strengthening ties with the community.
