🎓 It’s graduation season, and last week, ProsperUs Detroit proudly celebrated the graduates of our Spring 2026 Entrepreneur Training Program cohort!

Over the past 12 weeks, these entrepreneurs embarked on a journey of learning, growth, and connection. They built relationships with fellow participants, trainers, and community partners while strengthening the foundations of their businesses.

Senga brings a strong background in lending operations, strategy, and operational leadership from his time at Rocket Loans, where he most recently served as a Senior Business Strategist.

He is passionate about creating systems that expand access to opportunity, capital, and long-term economic mobility for under-resourced communities, and we are excited to have him supporting Detroit entrepreneurs and small business owners through his work at ProsperUs.

The Howard Family Bookstore has officially turned ONE month old! 📚🎉

Just one month ago, the Howard Family Bookstore opened its doors with a grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration, creating a space rooted in community, culture, and connection right here in Detroit.

We officially kicked off the first-ever Plan To Profit (P2P) Accelerator this past Wednesday, and we couldn’t be more excited to support this incredible group of entrepreneurs as they grow their businesses and sharpen their strategy. 🎉

A long-vacant building on Detroit’s west side has been reimagined into Howard Family Bookstore, a neighborhood bookstore and community space centered on literacy, connection, and local pride. Created by Jerjuan Howard, the space reflects a lifelong commitment to investing in the community he’s always called home.

What started as a familiar part of his childhood walk to school is now a growing small business serving families, students, and residents along Puritan Avenue. The bookstore offers accessible books, community programming, and a welcoming environment designed to encourage learning and engagement.

Rooted in entrepreneurship and supported through Detroit’s small business ecosystem, the Howard Family Bookstore continues to grow as both a business and a gathering place for the community.
