With everything extremely dry, even a small fire can quickly get out of control, especially with strong winds.

A burn ban is in effect. No outdoor burning. Never burn trash.

Please use caution and help us keep our community safe!

We want to take a minute to recognize TC Energy.

They are a vital partner in the Deville community who's contributions have allowed the Deville Fire Department to remain ready to respond, at a high level, to fire and medical emergencies.

Their contributions in equipment are utilized daily to serve the residents of Deville and our mutual aid fire districts.

Thank you TC Energy for your continued investment in our community.

The National Weather Service has declared a RED FLAG WARNING for Friday. There is extreme fire danger due to winds and low humidity. PLEASE DO NOT BURN ANYTHING until this threat is over!

September brought 107 calls for service, making it one of our highest call-volume months since March 2023.

We’re thankful to our firefighters for their continued dedication and to our mutual-aid departments for always answering the call when we need a hand.
With dry conditions, please use extra caution when burning and avoid if at all possible.

Today we had a large structure fire, a difficult woods fire, and an EMS call, all within the same time period. Ruby-Kolin Fire dept and Holiday Village Fire dept both provided multiple fire trucks and fire personnel to assist. Your help was greatly appreciated. It's great to know we have help from our neighboring fire departments when we need it. Today, we definitely needed it. Thanks again to all that helped on the calls today.

Congratulations to our 2026 Firefighter of the Year — Buddy Cannon!

Buddy was recognized during the Rapides Parish Firefighter Appreciation Day for his dedication and service to the Deville community.

He’s someone we can count on. He’s reliable, always willing to show up when needed, and consistently goes the extra mile for the people we serve. His hard work and willingness to help make a difference both on scene and around the department.
