Years of discoloration had altered the appearance of this George Washington print, masking details and affecting its overall presentation.

Thankfully, we were able to carefully bring this print back to life by removing years of discoloration, brightening the paper, and uncovering details that had been hidden. 👏

Restoring a fragile artwork takes careful treatment, patience, and attention to every detail. ✨

This Asian scroll arrived with foxing, rippling, significant tears, cracked silk, and acidic mounting materials. Our team deacidified the print, repaired tears and separated sections, remounted it using archival materials, and completed the treatment with pressing and careful retouching to improve its stability and presentation.
