This severely damaged piece arrived mounted to linen and stretcher with acid burn, foxing, heavy rippling, multiple tears, a hole, and liquid staining.

It was carefully removed, cleaned, deacidified, treated for mold, and stabilized with tear mending, archival mounting, pressing, and retouching. 🧼✨
