What a weekend in the greatest town in the world. We had a great turnout of former volunteer firefighters who once served this community on our 100th year anniversary float. The stories and conversations were great.

We are getting close to all the festivities this weekend so let’s talk about parking!
Please respect private property!
The map attached shows a few places for parking and the church will have areas of parking after the car show!
There will be some street parking but be sure you are not blocking traffic and do not expect to get any closer than about 2 blocks from the park.
There is also parking available at the school gym parking lot!

We have recently found out this Nov. is the 100th year anniversary of the official organization of The Diagonal Volunteer Fire Dept. In honor of this, along with our fund raiser in November, we are asking any former members of The Diagonal Fire Department to take part in the Labor Day parade on a float celebrating the 100th year. If you are able to participate please plan to meet at the fire station around 9:15 Monday September 7th to ride on the float. Thank you all!!!!
