Did You Know? Here's a Quick Wellhead Scanning History Lesson.

Meet the Team: Brielle Montrose

Our Meet the Team series wouldn't be complete without introducing the person helping tell our story and build new relationships—Brielle Montrose, Sales Manager at Velocity Testing Services.

Brielle joined the Velocity team in April 2026, bringing with her 14 years of experience in oil and gas sales, business development, and customer relationship management. Throughout her career, she's built a strong network across the Bakken and has developed lasting relationships with operators, contractors, and service companies throughout the industry.

Her background spans multiple sectors of the oilfield, including production equipment, trucking, rentals, engineering services, and reinforced steel poly pipe, along with experience in program management on the engineering side. And before she ever stepped foot into the oilfield? She was an optician—proof that great people skills translate across industries.

At Velocity, Brielle's role goes far beyond sales. While she's focused on growing new business and strengthening customer partnerships, she also supports business operations, manages the company's social media presence, and creates marketing content that showcases the people and culture behind Velocity.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, her answer was easy:
"Meeting new people and building relationships that last. The best part of this industry is the connections you make and earning the trust of your customers over time."

What makes Velocity different from other companies she's worked for?
"It's the accessibility and teamwork. We're not a large corporate company. If I need an answer, I can pick up the phone and call Brooke, Zach, or one of our managers. Decisions happen quickly, and everyone genuinely wants to help each other succeed."

Originally from small-town North Dakota, Brielle spends most of her time outside of work keeping up with her daughter's busy hockey schedule, spoiling her dogs, and enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer—from gardening and fishing to hunting whenever she gets the chance.

And here's a fun fact about Brielle: if there's a tractor pull, county fair, or country concert happening, there's a good chance you'll find her there. She loves supporting local events and spending time with family and friends.

Meet the Team: Rachel Peterson

Our Meet the Team series continues with someone who keeps everything behind the scenes running seamlessly—Rachel Peterson, Office Manager at Velocity Testing Services.

Since joining Velocity in July 2023, Rachel has become an essential part of our team. While the field crews are out serving customers across the Williston Basin, Rachel is the one making sure everything back at the office stays organized and on track. From HR and payroll to employee support and day-to-day business operations, she wears a lot of hats—and somehow makes it all look effortless.

Rachel brings a diverse professional background that includes office
management, human resources, FMLA administration, recruiting, and even time spent as a paraprofessional. Her strengths in organization, communication, problem-solving, and supporting employees help keep Velocity operating efficiently every single day.

When we asked her teammates to describe Rachel, three words came up again and again:

💙 Kind
💙 Always willing to help

When asked what makes Velocity different from other companies she's worked for, Rachel didn't hesitate:
"The team atmosphere. Everyone works together and supports one another."

A Dickinson, North Dakota native, Rachel enjoys spending her time outside of work with family, camping, and taking time to relax whenever she gets the chance.

Life is especially exciting for Rachel right now. She's newly engaged, has an adventurous little boy who keeps her on her toes, and is looking forward to welcoming a new baby to the family soon. She's also a proud animal lover—especially when it comes to cats.

And here's a fun fact: As if keeping Velocity running wasn't enough, Rachel also manages apartment properties in her spare time. Staying busy is just part of who she is! Rachel also happens to be the sister of Velocity owner Zach Peterson.

We're incredibly grateful to have Rachel as part of the Velocity family. Her dedication, organization, and heart help keep our team moving forward every day.

Meet the Team: Jeremy Hayes

Our Meet the Team series continues with someone who keeps our hydrotest division moving day in and day out – Jeremy Hayes, Hydrotest Manager at Velocity Testing Services.

Jeremy joined the Velocity family in January 2023, bringing with him 10 years of hydrotesting experience, along with a background in mining and various sectors of the oil and gas industry. Over the years, he's built a reputation for showing up, working hard, and making sure the job gets done right.

Ask Jeremy what he enjoys most about his role, and his answer is simple: the people. He values the opportunity to meet new customers, build relationships, and create connections that last well beyond a single job.

When we asked his teammates to describe him, the responses came quickly:
A get-it-done guy
Always willing to lend a hand
Keeps everyone laughing with his sense of humor

Around the Bakken, Jeremy has earned another title too — "The Knife Guy." If you've crossed paths with him, chances are you've probably been handed a knife at some point. It's become a bit of his trademark.

At Velocity, Jeremy is someone we consider the glue of our hydrotest division. He is dependable, dedicated, and always ready to jump in wherever needed. His commitment to the team and our customers doesn't go unnoticed.

When asked what makes Velocity different from other companies he's worked for, Jeremy says it's the family atmosphere.

Originally from California, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, being outdoors, and hunting down the latest deals on Temu.

And a fun fact about Jeremy? He likes a wide variety of animals, and he has unintentionally trained his pets to wake him up at 3 a.m. every day for treats! Years of getting up early for work created a routine his animals haven't forgotten.

We're thankful to have Jeremy's work ethic, humor, and dedication helping lead our hydrotest team every day.

Meet the Team: Jon Huro

At Velocity Testing Services, our people are what make the difference, and we're excited to kick off our Meet the Team series by introducing our General Manager, Jon Huro.

Jon has been a part of the Velocity family since February 2022 and brings over 11 years of hydrotesting experience to the team. His path to the oilfield wasn't a traditional one. Before joining the energy industry in North Dakota, Jon worked as a manager at Walmart and on the assembly line at Caterpillar. Once he entered the oilfield, he quickly gained experience across multiple facets of the industry, including roustabout work, workover rigs, tank battery construction, hydrotesting, and hauling.

Today, Jon serves as General Manager at Velocity while also owning and operating Blacksheep Oilfield Services.

What Jon enjoys most about his role is solving complex problems and figuring out how to make everything work. Every day brings a new challenge, and that's exactly what keeps him motivated.

When we asked his coworkers to describe him, the responses were consistent:
Reliable. Hardworking. The kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back.

When asked what makes Velocity different from other companies he's worked for, Jon's answer was simple:
"It's personal. The owners are right here, involved in the business, and it feels like family."

Originally from our neighboring state of Minnesota, Jon spends his time outside of work enjoying cars, along with hunting and fishing whenever he gets the chance.

And for a fun fact? Jon is the proud owner of a cat named Knuckles—who has diabetes and six toes.

Meet the Owners: Zach and Brooke Peterson

Most people see the trucks.

What they don't see is the story behind them.

Velocity Testing started in 2020 with one hydrotest truck, four young kids at home, and two owners willing to bet on themselves. Zach and Brooke Peterson built this company the same way they live life—working hard, staying humble, and showing up every day.

Today, while they're hauling kids throughout the US to motocross races and making memories with family, the Velocity team is out across North Dakota and the Williston Basin delivering the service our customers count on. From one truck to 5 scan pickups and 4 hydrotest trucks, the growth has been incredible.

We're still the same people from Dickinson. We just have a few more trucks and a lot more miles behind us.
