70 books + one pretty great helper = we’re getting ready for a BIG week at All In Development Company!

Behind every leadership training is a whole lot of preparation and this week, Beau is helping me pack 70 copies of The New One Minute Manager for an upcoming leadership program.

Next week, we’ll be in the room with leaders talking about communication, accountability, coaching, trust and what it really takes to lead people well.

Happy Labor Day!

Did you know the first Labor Day was celebrated in 1882? Twelve years later, in 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed Labor Day into law as a national holiday, a day dedicated to recognizing the contributions and achievements of American workers.

More than 140 years later, that message still matters.

At All In Development Company, we have the privilege of working with businesses, leaders and teams across our region, and one thing remains constant: PEOPLE are at the heart of every successful organization.

Great leaders invest in their people. Great teams take care of one another. And meaningful work is even better when we also make time for the people and things we love.

For me, this Labor Day weekend included a little of that. Time on the golf course with my daughter, Paige, doing something we both love.

Being ALL IN doesn’t mean being all work, all the time. It means being intentional about the work you do, the people you impact and the life you’re building along the way.

Today, we celebrate the American workforce and all those who show up, lead, serve, create and make a difference every day.

Summer is busy. Life gets busy. Here’s a great reminder for all of us- Build margin into your life.

Don’t fill every hour on your calendar. Don’t spend every dollar you earn. Don’t use every ounce of your energy.

The people who seem the calmest aren’t always the ones with the most resources—they’re often the ones who intentionally leave room to breathe.

Life will interrupt your plans. Margin gives you the capacity to handle it.
