Route Service Representative / Delivery Driver
Dakota Commercial Rugs & Uniform Services is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Route Service Representative to join our growing team.
This position is responsible for delivering and servicing uniforms, rugs, towels, mats, mops, and other products for commercial customers. Our Route Service Representatives are an important part of our company and serve as the primary point of contact between Dakota Commercial Rugs and our customers.
Schedule
Monday–Thursday | 4-Day Work Week
Responsibilities
* Drive a company vehicle safely and professionally while servicing an assigned route.
* Deliver clean uniforms, towels, mats, rugs, mops, and other rental products to customers.
* Pick up soiled/used products and return them to the facility for processing.
* Sort and organize customer products to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
* Maintain accurate customer inventories and identify missing or damaged items.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
* Provide professional, friendly customer service at every stop.
* Communicate customer requests, concerns, and service issues to management.
* Inspect rental products and identify items needing repair, replacement, or additional service.
* Assist customers with uniform exchanges, additions, and product needs.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle.
* Complete route paperwork, electronic documentation, and other required records.
* Follow all company safety procedures and DOT requirements applicable to the position.
* Represent Dakota Commercial Rugs & Uniform Services professionally while on customer properties.
* Perform other duties related to route service and daily operations as needed.
Qualifications
* Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
* Reliable and dependable attendance.
* Strong customer-service and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull commercial laundry and rental products.
* Ability to enter and exit a delivery vehicle repeatedly throughout the workday.
* Professional appearance and attitude.
* Previous delivery, route service, customer service, uniform rental, laundry, or commercial service experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
