We had 201 Bred Cows for our first Bred Cow Sale of the season.  The younger bred cows sold well topping at $4,000 /hd, with a good demand on all bred cattle.  Overall the market was steady to higher on the weigh up cattle and bred cows selling limited feeders this week at DLA. Weigh up cattle were selling higher this week with better quality cows offered, including some nice sets of ranch cows in good condition.  Looking forward to the Black Angus Special Feeder Sale, looks like we will have a nice offering of calves with over 1,500 on the books now.

We’re very appreciative of our community, and hope that you join us next week October 15th for a Special Black Angus Influence & All Class Cattle Sale!

10/02/2026

This Thursday we had a nice offering of both feeders and weigh up cattle selling enough volume of both classes to establish a trend in the market.  Overall selling steady with the last two weeks if not higher on the front end type cattle.  Selling 247 weigh up cows / 462 feeder cattle primarily bawling calves with a mix of yearlings / 56 weigh up bulls and 20 bred cows with 6 pairs in the mix.
October has started off with seasonally nice weather and good range conditions allowing the producers to hang on to cattle and allow the markets to stabilize.  This fall looks to be a good time to get cattle in shape for marketing as the producer is still being rewarded to add pounds when they can.
