One of Grand Lake’s most iconic attractions is getting ready to make its return!
The Cherokee Queen I is expected to be back on the water in late July, bringing with it a piece of Grand Lake history that so many of us know and love.
Being born and raised around Grand Lake, this one hits a little differently. I can still remember taking an elementary school field trip on the Cherokee Queen back in the day. Years later, we even held our 10-year class reunion on the boat, and it made for some great memories. When you grow up here, experiences like those become part of your story.
That’s why it’s so special to see the Cherokee Queen making a comeback. It’s more than just a boat—it’s a local landmark that generations of Grand Lakers have enjoyed. Whether you’ve cruised on it before or have never stepped aboard, its return is a reminder of the traditions, memories, and small-town charm that make this area such a special place to call home.
I’m SO excited to see her back in action cruising the lake where she belongs.
