The Woman King is an American historical film directed by Gina Prince- Bythewood. It is based on a true story of the Agojie, an all female unit of warriors of the kingdom of Dahomey, one of the most powerful states of Africa in the 18th and 19th centuries. It stars Viola Davis as General Nanisca, and follows her journey to train new recruits to protect their home from an enemy bent on destroying their way of life. The movie will be released September 16, 2022.

The National Center for PTSD states that about 60% of men and 50% of women will experience at least one incidence of trauma in their lives, and that the symptoms are organized into four clusters.
