Surry Communications Announces Foundation for Rural Service Grant to Support Surry County Sheriff's Office
The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS), the philanthropic arm of NTCA, The Rural Broadband Association, announced the recipients of 33 Community Grants totaling over $151,000. These grants will support a wide variety of projects aimed at improving quality of life, enhancing public safety, and strengthening rural communities served by NTCA members.
Surry Communications is pleased to announce the Surry County Sheriff's Office as one of this year's grant recipients. The Surry County Sheriff's Office received $4,830 to purchase seven hand-held Level III tactical ballistic shields. These shields will provide deputies with an additional layer of protection against potentially life-threatening threats, helping reduce the risk of serious injury or death while responding to dangerous situations.
Surry Communications is proud to support initiatives that strengthen public safety and provide essential resources to those who serve and protect our communities. Through its partnership with the Foundation for Rural Service, Surry Communications remains committed to making a positive impact throughout the communities it serves.
