Tonight personnel took advantage of a break in the rain to train on drafting operations.

We are closely monitoring incoming severe weather expected in our area tomorrow. Conditions may change rapidly, and we want everyone to be prepared.

INCIDENT RELEASE

At 11:41 today Doe Run Fire Protection District was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 2500 block of Buck Mountain Road.

4160 and 3600 arrived on scene to a single story residence with heavy smoke and flames showing from the B & C sides of the structure.

One line was pulled and fire attack began. An initial and primary search of the residence was conducted and it was determined there was no one in the residence.

The fire was quickly knocked and salvage and overhaul was conducted.

We'd like to thank Farmington Missouri Fire Department, Bismarck Fire Protection District, Ironton Fire Department, and Park Hills Fire Department 3700 for the assistance.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Missouri Division of Fire Safety.

Upgrades continue here at Doe Run Fire Protection District with the install of our new fire weather sign. This sign replaces an old and broken one. Fire weather alerts will be updated depending on the severity of the risk.

This weekend 11 personnel are spending their time attending trainings offered in the area.

7 members are attending Emergency Vehicle Driver Training hosted by Leadwood Fire Protection District, and 4 members are attending Making the Grab- Residential Search hosted by Pilot K**b Fire Protection District.

We appreciate the dedication to learning and enhancing their skills these firefighters are showing by spending their weekend training.
