If you have a child with an intellectual or developmental disability, including autism when eligibility criteria are met, NOW is the time to learn about Georgia’s NOW/COMP Waiver and begin planning for adulthood. 💙💚
So many families spend years focused on IEPs, therapies, doctor appointments, school services and simply getting through each day. Then graduation gets closer and one HUGE question comes up:
“What happens after school ends?”
That conversation needs to start EARLY.
Georgia’s NOW/COMP Waiver can provide eligible individuals with supports designed to promote greater independence and meaningful participation in their communities. Depending on assessed needs and an approved service plan, supports can include Community Living Support (CLS), respite, employment supports and other community-based services.
