Precision Castparts is the world leader in structural investment castings, forged components, and airfoil castings for aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines. These stationary vanes and rotating blades are used in the turbine section of these aircraft and IGT engines, where temperatures can easily exceed 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit. As customers have designed engines for higher fuel efficiency

and lower emissions, the casting technology within the hot section has become increasingly sophisticated, and PCC Airfoils has more than risen to the challenge. These components are supplied to all major gas turbine OEMs and their partners for both new engine production and replacement, which is primarily driven by engine cycles. Aftermarket parts represent about half of PCC Airfoils sales.
