I'm heading to Virginia Commonwealth University on August 25th with a session made just for them: Small Moves, Big Future: Building Your College Years Into Something That Pays Off.

This one's for first-gen and TRIO students, the ones figuring college out in real time, often without anyone in their corner who's done it before. So we keep it real and shame-free, we assume you're walking in fresh, and I walk you through it like somebody actually should.

Here's the heart of it: your college years are a portfolio you're building right now. Every small choice of work-study, internships, how you handle your money, what you borrow it all adds up.

I want these students to see how those little moves snowball into big things, and leave knowing how to make these next few years work for them.

First-gen and TRIO students bring a kind of determination that fills up my whole tank. Getting to pour into them is the best part of what I do. 💛

Make sure that you're making it easy to work with. You. Have designed what services you offer and how. A link, QR code, website they need to go to to become a client of yours.

When it comes to building a business, one of the first steps is focusing on one thing to generate revenue, making sure it's a proven concept in analyzing how the market responds.

Once you've done that, you need to put some systems in place once you have proven what your target audience wants. Now you get some systems to be able to deliver it in a consistent way on the consistent basis.

I promise I'm not trying to start a mess but I have to be honest with you. You can never build your business. If you're afraid to put your offer out there.

It's something to share with others. What it is you offer. It's sharing with others what type of transformation you can give them. It's sharing with others what's in it for them by working with you. By not sharing or putting it out there, you're missing out on the opportunity to bless those who will be forever changed by the work that you do.

You don’t realize how much confidence plays a role in your business…

until it’s time to say your price out loud.
I had the knowledge.
I had the experience.
I had already helped people.

But when it came time to actually stand on my price?

That was a different conversation.
And what shifted for me wasn’t just “charging more”…

it was understanding the value I was bringing into the room.

The transformation.

The impact.

The difference between how things start… and how they end.

That’s what gave me the confidence to stand on it.
