We at the DFFD would like to congratulate and offer the best of luck to the Foxcroft Academy graduating class of 2026! Especially to two of our members FF/EMT Kaden Woods, and FF/EMT Beckett Taylor. Both have basic fire attack, and National registered Basic-EMT certifications. Both pursing a career in the fire/EMS service!

Happy EMS week, and we would like to thank and celebrate all EMS personnel! Whether they are a single or dual role provider, they are an import part of the first responder team.

Here at the DFFD we have two transporting ambulances, and we are licensed at the basic level permitted up to the paramedic level. Currently we are running as primary providers for town 8-4pm and back up the remaining time. Changing in July to a split of 6-6pm. Our mission is to provide care and cover for town, we are available to provide ALS back up for other services.

Our current roster holds 8 paramedics, 3 advanced EMTs, and 10 basic EMTs. 4 of which just completed a 150 hour basic EMT course over the past several months.

Rest easy, we have the watch.

With the unimaginable events today in Searsmont, it is a stark reminder of how quickly an incident can change into a nightmare. We at the DFFD offer our deepest condolences to the family of the firefighter that lost their life, brothers and sisters of all agencies involved. We stand beside those who are injured and battling through the physical and emotional effects of this tragedy.
