Trump is expected to sign an executive order creating a Military Spouse Commission to tackle childcare, employment, housing and healthcare challenges facing military families.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's wife Jennifer will chair the commission, which includes 20 military spouses representing every branch of the armed forces.
The order gives the White House a direct line to the pressures facing more than 1 million children with at least one parent serving on active duty.
