This Memorial Day, the P4 Companies (P4) pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will not ever be forgotten.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to active-duty members and veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who have served – and continue to serve with honor and commitment. This includes many members of the P4 team who are former members of the U.S. Military.

Three officers with the P4 Companies (P4) were recently presented with P4’s Life-Saving Award.

This honor resulted from an event on Saturday April 14 just after 6 p.m., when one of the residents of a high-end residential building in downtown Chicago – where P4 manages security – was speaking to a member of the P4 team in the lobby. At this time, the man experienced a medical emergency and fell to the floor. Without hesitation, three P4 officers on-site utilized their training and promptly responded to assist.

Officer Douglas Moore immediately ensured the man was on his side to prevent him from further injury while on the floor, while Officer Wynona Donegan called 911 and stayed on the line until the Chicago Fire Department arrived. Officer Anycia Johnson cleared the area and directed first responders into the lobby to assist the man.

The immediate response of these dedicated team members exemplifies one of P4’s core functions: to utilize the extensive training they receive, and to act immediately to ensure the safety and security of our clients.

Congratulations to Officers Donegan, Johnson, and Moore for providing life-saving assistance for this resident during a time of true need.

John has gone above and beyond in supporting the Back of the Yards mobile security patrols by training and mentoring new officers, helping to ensure they understand procedures, expectations, and post orders. His leadership and willingness to share knowledge while managing P4 patrols in this Chicago neighborhood have strengthened team confidence and overall site performance.

Team members from the P4 Companies (P4) were honored to be in attendance alongside the brave men and women of the Chicago Police Department – at the 65th Annual Recognition Ceremony in Chicago on Monday. Chicago Police Department Superintendent Larry Snelling reminded everyone that behind every badge is a story of courage, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to protecting communities. During the event, Chicago Police Officers were recognized for acts of heroism and service, that often go unseen.

Congratulations to the P4 Companies (P4) Security Officer Derek Persson, our Employee of the Month, who is recognized for consistently demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to P4’s standards. Derek exemplifies excellence through his punctuality, appearance, and ability to build strong working relationships – while representing P4 with integrity.

Derek earned this recognition following an overnight patrol on March 31, 2026, in the Village of Winnetka. While monitoring residential areas near North Sheridan Road, Derek observed a suspicious vehicle idling in the street with three individuals dressed in dark clothing standing nearby. As he approached, the individuals quickly re-entered the vehicle and began to leave the area.

Acting swiftly, Derek relayed detailed information to 911 dispatch, including the vehicle description and license plate. His timely communication enabled local law enforcement to respond quickly, resulting in a traffic stop by Winnetka and Glencoe police. The occupants were identified as juveniles, and the driver taken into custody for operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

Derek’s vigilance and quick action highlight the important role P4 patrols play in deterring crime and supporting local law enforcement. His dedication and professionalism make him a well-deserving recipient of this recognition!
