Focus on naps too: Short naps throughout the day are normal for newborns and help prevent overtiredness. However, you can stretch those short naps by paying attention to sleep cues and following wake windows of 30 to 60 minutes.
Cluster feed in the evenings: If your baby tends to wake up hungry often at night, offering extra feeds in the evening can sometimes help stretch nighttime sleep. You may also wake up your newborn around 10 - 11 pm to offer a feed. That will help your baby sleep for a longer stretch at night.
❤️ Be patient with yourself: It’s okay if things don’t go perfectly. Newborn sleep is unpredictable, and every baby is different. Be kind to yourself! Being a new parent isn’t easy and it comes with huge obstacles, but you’re doing amazing and I’m here to chat whenever you need support!
