Just stay in age where everything wants to go paperless seems really good until it’s not. Imagine a day when you went to the doctor and they actually wrote things down or printed them off so you had a copy for your records, now fast-forward to modern day and age where you would hope that your records that you can easily see on your telephone and your computer would stay the same and easily be able to pull out to verify to your next doctor appointment. I’ve had breathing problems since roughly 2005 was my second deployment to Iraq was given an albuterol inhaler only to be used when needed when wheezing or etc, since then prescribed a nebulizer with a lasting supply of albuterol sulfate that as of COVID I have had to use more and more as of late. Supplies are starting to dwindle away, and I went to do a refill only to have these medication‘s told me that they don’t exist in my records, nor do I have a history of needing them!!!
So through my frustration with the nurse on the phone, I looked up my records on the computer while talking to them and realized I’m majority of my records have been purged to include my need a medication’s to help me breathe. My next appointment with these charlatans at the VA is now November 5! As I was looking for proof of these medications, I went to look at my community care appointments that were assigned by the VA have also all been erased, to include test results, etc. I have been screwed over several times during my service of 20 years plus and in the beginning with the VA system, but I was encouraged that it was starting to get better. Truth is in the last three years Veterans have been pushed aside and care has been dismissed, this is unacceptable!
