Today is my self-care day. You are enough!

I absolutely adore Dolly Parton and have always strived to live, act, love and live like her example. She resonated to my southern soul.

I’m wearing my embroidered LOVE hat again. The daily intention and practice of loving myself matters to me. I am a builder and not a breaker. I will truly miss the most powerful woman who loved others.

I love BOLD and that is WHY I did the stitching super BIG!!! As Dolly would say- heck, be YOURSELF!

This is my WHY for designing this hat…

It represents three key BOLD requirements
for living everyday to me:

* My Daily Boundary: Boundaries make better relationships. This is a commitment to treat myself and others with kindness, patience, and respect. If I am being disrespected, the best WAY to love myself is to not accept less and walk away. Let them go!!
* My Mental Strength: It empowers me to daily see the abundance rather than scarcity or fear. I believe you can’t give what you don’t possess. Loving myself right now is vital.
* My HEART : I will lead with love and kindness. This is my golden shield against negativity, choosing to let love dictate my life and reactions every day.

DESIGNER SECRET TIP-

Reupholster or buy new cushion’s?

Since I love curated furniture and from Hickory NC 📣 my recommendation is to wait until you find something you love. If you love a piece of furniture then I would definitely recommend paying for the piece to be restored.

I have personally reupholstered chairs, stools, chairs etc myself. This job was no exception. The beautiful outdoor furniture just needed new upholstery fabric to the existing cushions.

Sometimes the best part of the day isn’t the show—it’s what happens after. I felt led to visit a local center today, and I am so glad I went. I made a new friend who just wanted to be seen and heard. Listening to her story was the most important thing I did today.

This week is the debut of new website, new products, Bunkbed Room design, TV SEGMENT GTU - Wednesday 9:00 am, prepping and got my FIRST goGLOW St. George, UT | Custom Airbrush Tanning custom spray tan. I’m in love!

Driving to SLC letting my go glow set, boxes of clients light fixtures to deliver ✔️💗 Visual Comfort & Co. , and bts makimg sure WEBSITE goes live with my finds- website section to shop - is up and going.

Day in my wonderfully imperfect designer day. I’m so grateful!

Confession- I wanted to DELETE this. I have been filling the importance of sharing things more as a designer and woman over 50. The reality is taking risks and sharing the things that are us but as you can see my video is IMPERFECT.

it started out as me finding my favorite store and Mall of America today. I knew that I needed to find some new classic and elevated options for some upcoming TV segments. I decided to start the video and share with everyone where I like to shop and the reality of what I purchased it is not sponsored and if you watch it I hope that you realize that sometimes it’s OK to share things that are not perfect and to take the risk.
