One of the hardest parts of postpartum?
Everyone on the internet telling you how to feed your baby 😵💫
“Your baby is feeding too much.”
“They’re using you as a pacifier.”
“You need to stretch feeds.”
“They should be sleeping through the night by now.”
Meanwhile… your instincts are telling you your baby genuinely needs closeness, comfort, or more support 🤍
The truth is: feeding and sleep are deeply connected.
And so many babies — especially sensitive, alert, or highly attached babies — use feeding for more than just hunger.
Comfort. Regulation. Connection. Safety.
That doesn’t mean you’re creating “bad habits.”
And it also doesn’t mean you have to stay stuck feeling exhausted forever.
There’s a huge difference between responsive feeding and unsupported sleep deprivation ✨
Good sleep support should never shame a parent for responding to their baby. It should help you understand why your little one is waking, what’s biologically normal, and how to gently support more rest in a way that aligns with your family.
