One of the hardest parts of postpartum?
Everyone on the internet telling you how to feed your baby 😵‍💫

“Your baby is feeding too much.”
“They’re using you as a pacifier.”
“You need to stretch feeds.”
“They should be sleeping through the night by now.”

Meanwhile… your instincts are telling you your baby genuinely needs closeness, comfort, or more support 🤍

The truth is: feeding and sleep are deeply connected.
And so many babies — especially sensitive, alert, or highly attached babies — use feeding for more than just hunger.

Comfort. Regulation. Connection. Safety.

That doesn’t mean you’re creating “bad habits.”
And it also doesn’t mean you have to stay stuck feeling exhausted forever.

There’s a huge difference between responsive feeding and unsupported sleep deprivation ✨

Good sleep support should never shame a parent for responding to their baby. It should help you understand why your little one is waking, what’s biologically normal, and how to gently support more rest in a way that aligns with your family.

If you’re overwhelmed by conflicting advice online, you are NOT alone 🍀

Tell me the worst advice you’ve been given below 👇🏼
BUT if you need help navigating this advice comment “FEED” & let’s figure it out 💚

Nobody told you this before birth. Here’s what normal baby sleep actually is..
A lot of what parents worry about is actually normal.

✨ Waking overnight
✨ Needing help falling asleep
✨ Contact napping
✨ Sleep changing during developmental leaps
✨ Wanting more connection at night

That doesn’t mean you have to love it.

And it doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to improve sleep.

But when we understand what’s biologically normal, we can stop chasing unrealistic expectations and start making decisions from a place of confidence instead of fear.

The goal isn’t perfect sleep.

The goal is understanding your child, supporting their development, and finding solutions that work for your family.

Sleep regressions aren’t always “regressions” 🤍

So often, they’re actually signs that your child is growing, learning, developing, and becoming more aware of the world around them.

What can look like:
✨ sudden night wakings
✨ fighting naps
✨ early mornings
✨ clinginess
✨ bedtime struggles

…can also be connected to:
🍀 developmental leaps
🍀 teething
🍀 separation anxiety
🍀 motor skill development
🍀 language growth
🍀 changing sleep needs

Sleep is not linear — and your child is not broken.

Sometimes they don’t need “more training.”
They need support through a big developmental shift.

This is why I focus on the whole child when supporting sleep instead of using one-size-fits-all advice 🤍

If your little one’s sleep suddenly changed and you’re trying to figure out what’s going on, comment 🍀 or send me a DM with the word “PROGRESS” and let’s talk through it together.

Your baby doesn’t have a sleep problem. Your pediatrician does. Parents come to me convinced their baby has a sleep problem.

But often, the real problem is that they’ve been told to expect something developmentally unrealistic.

A baby waking to feed.
Wanting connection at night.
Needing support to fall back asleep.
Sleeping differently than a chart says they “should.”

These aren’t always signs that something is wrong.

Many pediatricians receive very little education on normal infant sleep, attachment, temperament, and biologically normal sleep patterns. As a result, parents are often told that independent sleep is the only goal—and that sleep training is the solution.

But there are other options.

Sleep support doesn’t have to mean ignoring your instincts or your child’s needs.

When we understand what’s normal, what’s temperament-related, and what might actually be contributing to sleep challenges, we can create a plan that supports both better sleep and a secure parent-child relationship.

💚 Save this if you’ve ever been told your baby “should be sleeping through the night by now”.

If you’ve ever Googled ‘is it okay to never sleep train’ at 3am… I need you to hear this.
You are not failing because your baby needs support to sleep.

You are not creating bad habits by responding to your child.

And you do not have to choose between better sleep and staying connected to your instincts.

SHORT NAPS? OVERTIRED BABY? CONFUSED BY WAKE WINDOWS?

I made this guide to help you understand your baby’s sleep cues + awake windows without rigid schedules or one-size-fits-all advice 🤍

Inside you’ll learn:
✨ Age-appropriate wake time frames
✨ Sleepy cues to look for
✨ Signs of over/undertiredness
✨ How temperament + development impact sleep
✨ Why your baby may not follow “perfect” schedules online

This is meant to be a gentle starting point — not pressure to get sleep “perfect.”

If you’ve been Googling wake windows at 2am wondering if you’re doing something wrong… this guide is for you 🍀

No parent imagines their journey beginning in the NICU.

The monitors.
The alarms.
The uncertainty.
The feeling of walking out of the hospital without the newborn experience you expected.

When someone you love has a baby in the NICU, it’s natural to want to help—but many parents don’t know what support they actually need.

Sometimes it’s a listening ear.
Sometimes it’s dropping off a meal without expecting a visit.
Sometimes it’s celebrating the tiny victories that others might overlook.

An ounce gained.
A feeding completed.
A lower oxygen setting.
A successful kangaroo care session.
A day without setbacks.

These aren’t “small” wins.
They’re everything.

If you know a NICU family, remind them that their baby is making progress, even when the road feels long. And remind them that they don’t have to carry the weight of it all alone.

To every NICU parent reading this: your strength is incredible, your feelings are valid, and your story matters. 💚 As a NICU mom myself, I know firsthand how much those tiny victories can mean.
