Happy New Year! So many things to unpack in this picture… my first thought was everyone must be sick, and there is a run on OJ. Upon closer inspection, I realized that what was missing was the no pulp juice, leaving behind the juice filled with a sensory nightmare. Truth be told, I myself prefer no pulp. It’s a weird sensation in the mouth. Imagine being a kid with heightened sensory experiences being told to drink a glass of juice with lots of floaters in it😬. The other thing that stood out to me was that we often struggle on how to “deal with” kiddos who have sensory issues. Yet, how many adults are walking around with the same experiences?
