✨ PSA: Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want! ✨

The other day, I got an email saying that a piece of software I use was about to jump from $16 a month to...wait for it...$65 a month! 😳 I mean, what?!

I called them up and kindly asked them to rethink that jump. A few minutes later, I walked away paying $15 a month! 🙌🎉

Moral of the story: Sometimes, all you have to do is ask (and maybe cross your fingers a little). Whether it’s a better price, a new opportunity, or extra guac—go for it! You might just surprise yourself. 😉

Whether I'm coaching or consulting, my work revolves around a variety of communications activities like messaging, article writing, moderating panel discussions, PR, and other things. Today I moderated a national virtual training for a client on mental health, trauma-informed care, and more. I opened with this ice-breaker:

Describe how you're feeling today like you're reporting the weather. 🌦️

Answers ranged: sunny ☀️, partly cloudy ⛅, bright 🌞, cold 🥶, misty 🌬️, etc....

These responses highlight the diverse emotional climates we all navigate daily. It's a reminder of the importance of addressing mental health with empathy and understanding. Proud to contribute to fostering supportive environments where these crucial conversations can take place. 💬❤️

In terms of marketing, most coaches refine the “basics” once they’ve been coaching for a while: Who they work with, what problem they solve, and the results they provide.

In fact, many coaches refine these basics a time or two over their careers when they find that they want to solve a new problem or work with a new type of client. These changes are NORMAL and to be expected! This indicates growth, expanded interests, personal awareness, and expanded expertise.

A new coaching client just called me this morning to tell me she completed a simple assignment I gave her to help her get her thoughts out of her head and out on paper.

She was IN TEARS (as in “the ugly cry – which is actually so beautiful) telling me about the breakthrough she had this morning as she looked over her answers. In fact, she couldn't believe that the answer was in her all this time.

She said: "I needed the “permission" and "container" of coaching with you to get it out and be honest with myself."

Then we were both in tears.

I've been fortunate enough to coach and contribute to the development of prominent leaders on the rise for nearly two decades.

In early 2023, I decided to take my coaching skills to the next level and enrolled in Tara Mohr’s Playing Big Facilitator’s program, which was a lot of deep work and an absolute joy. I learned about her techniques to help clients tap into their inner wisdom, speak up, and lead.

Also this year, I earned my Professional Life Coach Certification through the Certified Life Coach Institute, an ICF certification program.

I’m still doing PR consulting for select clients, but I am leaning even more into coaching professionals and business leaders who are ready to claim more out of their lives.

More love, joy, freedom, money, confidence, “going for it” energy, stepping into a calling, powerful communication, boundaries, taking that big step, etc… All of it! More of the life they want.

In our collaborative work, the true heroes are my clients, of course, as they embark on the path of self-discovery, growth, and action-taking.
