The Center Consulting Group

The Center Consulting Group The Center Consulting Group is passionate about advancing leadership and organizational health. Leadership can be so energizing, yet so challenging!

It’s not easy to lead a group of people with diverse personalities and motivations towards a common vision. When it’s going well, it feels so good. But when turbulence strikes, stress and frustration are soon to follow. Don’t let complex challenges overwhelm you. Whether you are a leader of a business, church, or nonprofit, our experienced team will create customized solutions, based on our Christian values, to help you lead well. Complexity is normal. But it doesn’t have to be fatal!

Last night, we hosted our first Alumni Gathering for graduates of our Accelerate and Emerging Leaders Initiative (ELI) programs!

Five years ago, ELI welcomed its first cohort, and two years later, Accelerate launched. Since then, these leaders have stepped into new roles, taken on greater responsibility, and continued growing. And last night we got to hear those stories firsthand!

It was a meaningful reminder of why we do what we do. Thank you to Branch Creek Taphouse for the wonderful hospitality, and to every alumnus who joined us!

We are already looking forward to the next one!

Revitalization requires some risks.

If you are looking for risk-free and easy, steer clear of the work of revitalization. Home revitalization requires extensive spending, dangerous saws, challenging demolition, complex plumbing, scary electricity, and the ever-challenging ladders. Similarly, revitalizing an organization also has some inherent risks, including potential for conflict, significant expenses, and personnel changes, to name a few. When it comes to revitalization, no risk = no reward.

We are welcoming Ella Stemmer as our summer intern!

Ella is a former Division I basketball player at Lehigh University. She graduated in the spring of 2025 and is currently a graduate student in the M.Ed. Teaching and Learning program. Ella also serves as a graduate assistant in Lehigh's Flight45 leadership development program, where she supports student-athlete leadership education. She is looking forward to translating her leadership learning from sports to business and church consulting!

During her summer at The Center Consulting Group, Ella will shadow consultants in front of clients while contributing to research projects behind the scenes. She will also support the Emerging Leaders Initiative and Accelerate programs, as well as complete a capstone project focused on expanding and enhancing The Center's team-building inventory for clients.

Ella was a participant in our May 2026 Accelerate and shared this about her experience: "What a great learning environment at Accelerate over the past few days! I am lucky to continue my time with The Center as an intern this summer, where I will enrich my professional experience in consulting and coaching. Not to mention, this staff is FUN!"

We are excited to have Ella as a part of our team this summer!

Every leader needs a small but mighty group to lean on.

In ancient times, before King David was ruler of Israel and Judah, he was on the run from a pathologically jealous king named Saul. He was constantly hunted and was wanted, dead or alive. Yet he had a small group of loyal and intimidating guys called his Mighty Men to support him.

Just like David, every leader needs a small but mighty group of women and men in their life. When they have this group to lean on, they are less likely to allow the big messes to overwhelm and defeat them. Such leaders will last longer, make wiser decisions, and not allow fear to prevent them from leading through the storms.

Here are eight signs that you may have someone tapping into your emotional energy and zapping your joy - without your permission.

Growing up in my town, we were often on the lookout for thieves who would take your bike, grill, tires, or just about anything. But we need to be aware of a different type of thief in our lives and organizations, the energy thief. Here are eight signs that you may have someone tapping into your emot

Practicing gratitude habits can reduce stress, improve job performance and sleep quality, and increase the quality of relationships.

Biologically, we release dopamine and serotonin in our brains when we express and receive gratitude. These neurotransmitters affect our motivation, happiness, contentment, and sleep cycles. Deficiencies can lead to depression, anxiety, and lack of motivation. By practicing genuine gratitude, your body naturally releases these important neurotransmitters. This is an incredible benefit.
