One cleanout turned into a pretty awesome opportunity to give back to our community!

During a recent clean at a customer’s house, there were several pieces of furniture that were still in good shape and could be donated instead of being thrown away. Our project manager, Mike, reached out to Resources Unite to see if they could use the items.

One of the items was a queen bed frame, but Resources Unite needed a complete bed set with a mattress and box spring to accept the donation.

Mike stopped by Verlo Mattress and explained the situation to Rod. After hearing what we were trying to do, Rod stepped up and donated a brand new mattress and box spring to us completely free of charge so we could donate the entire set to Resources Unite.

A huge THANK YOU to Rod at Verlo Mattress Dubuque for helping make this happen! We really appreciate you taking the time to listen to what we were trying to do and being willing to help out. It’s businesses like yours that make a difference in our community.

Thanks to Mike for finding a way to donate the furniture instead of sending it to the landfill, and to Resources Unite for putting these items to good use!

This is what we love about working in our community. Sometimes a cleanout can turn into an opportunity to help someone else. ❤️

Twenty-five years later, we still remember the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the resilience that united a nation.​

Today, we pay tribute to the first responders who ran toward danger to help others and to those who continue that legacy of service each day.​

Last Thursday, our team got to spend some time with Krissy and learn more about her businesses, B-1 Yoga and ReveLuna!

Krissy shared more about herself and the heart behind B-1 Yoga. She also treated us to mocktails and cocktails from ReveLuna and invited our team to join her for a yoga class the next day.

So the next day, we swapped our work clothes for yoga clothes and headed to B-1 Yoga! It was such a fun way to slow down, step away from the usual workday, and spend time together as a team.

B-1 Yoga is already special to our team. Our owner practices there and our Construction Manager recently started teaching classes there too. It was great to experience a place that has become part of our team’s community.

And apparently, Bob and Mike decided that yoga class was also an opportunity to coordinate outfits. 😂

Meet Squirmy! 🐢💚

We didn’t expect to find a turtle on this job!

While cleaning an abandoned apartment, our crew found Squirmy in a tank so dirty, we didn’t even realize he was in there at first.

Our Project Manager, Mike, partnered with the Dubuque Regional Humane Society to make sure Squirmy was taken care of — and we’re happy to say he has now been adopted! 🐢
